This Kickstarter project introduces two new sci-fi products that I'd like to bring to market for the RPG and miniatures gaming community. By backing this project, you have the opportunity to get these rewards shipped directly to you in their first full week of release, before they become available through my website:
The "Surveillance Station" is a set of twelve 5 x 8 inch terrain cards that can be arranged in any number of ways to build a distant outpost. Each card is double-sided, and both aquatic and orbital variants are possible to show your station surrounded by water or drifting in space. They come packaged with front and back cover cards that feature two bonus map tiles, bringing the number of different tile images up to 26!
"Mass Transit III" is a new double-sided poster in my existing series of transportation-themed sci-fi poster maps. It measures 22 x 34 inches, and the maps are designed to fit a 1-inch grid for miniatures play.
Complete views of the Mass Transit II maps can be seen here:
The maps feature fine colored lines to indicate different types of terrain, which are handy if you're playing a game that uses that sort of thing, and easily ignored if you're not. The posters will be printed on glossy heavy poster stock, folded, and packaged in a clear envelope along with a free 5x7 inch terrain card printed on the back of a cover insert. This terrain card can be used to "repair" the battle-damaged section of one of the starships on the front of the poster.
At higher reward levels, backers gain access to additional products from my website at www.mapsofmastery.com. Please note that the Deep Vistas Poster Map Set counts as three individual posters for purposes of these rewards.
The pledge goal has been set to cover the printing costs of this project and expected shipping expenses to backers. Physical rewards will be shipped worldwide at no additional cost, as soon as I return from Gen Con. (I'll send them out before I leave if time permits.) Backers attending Gen Con in Indianapolis will have the option to pick up their posters and/or card sets in person at my booth. Look for "Maps of Mastery" in booth #1855 or check the on-site directory.
