With the new Dragon Heist campaign coming out, it's a great time to unveil the map pack vol 2 project. The map pack can be used for any city/town RPG campaign but was inspired by and designed for use with the Waterdeep setting in mind. Each ward (Castle, Docks, etc) will have street maps with grid/no-grid and day/night graphics.
Each season will be represented as well (Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall). Maps will be saved in a hi-res format for printing as well as a lo-res (jpg) format for use with VTT software. Each map will have both grid and grid-less options, as well as compatibility for VTT such as Roll20.
I will post example work and progress. Please read the FAQ if you have any questions or email me at email@example.com or send me a private message here.

Here's a brief description of what I'm trying to capture for each city ward:
Sea Ward: The rich and powerful live here. You can still see the remains of old castles and forts encorporated into the archecture among the manors here. The most notable landmarks here is the Arena (Field of Triumph), the House of Heroes, and the House of Wonder. Blue and Gold are the colors used here during competitions and festivals. At night the streets are partially lit and during the day kept clean.
North Ward: This ward is wealthy but quiet and respectable. Although there are inns and shops here most of the buildings are medium to large-sized houses. The most notable area is the Cliffwatch. The competition colors of the ward are Green and Orange. At night the streets are all lit and during the day kept clean.
Castle Ward: This is where all the military and government offices are located. Many notable landmarks are here and include, but not limited to: Six walking statutes, Blackstaff Tower, Mirt’s Manson, the Spires of Mourning, the Temple of Seldarine, the Mount Melody Walk, the “Market”, and the Font of Knowledge. The colors of the ward are Blue & Purple. At night the streets are partially lit and during the day kept clean.
Trades Ward: This ward has activity all day and night. Buildings are as high as five stories, with walkways and planks connecting them like a medieval mall. Landmarks to see here are the House of Light and the Courtyard of the White Bull. Competition colors are Green and Purple. At night the streets are all lit and during the day kept clean.
Southern Ward: This is where are the travelers and adventurers go for food, lodging, and entertainment. It’s basically a tourist spot. Small and medium-sized homes are inserted in between many inns, restaurants, and stables. Points of interest here is the Dancing Court/Feast hall. Competition colors are Red & White. At night the streets are partially lit and during the day kept clean.
Dock Ward: The 2nd poorest and 2nd most dangerous ward here, it mostly consists of warehouses, poorhouses, and tenements. Buildings are packed in and cramped leaving little room for walking in between them. There are no sign or directions to speak of so it’s easy for those unfamiliar with the terrain to get lost or robbed. Lamplights do exists here but are poorly maintained and remain unlit at night. Streets get an occasional cleaning but it’s not uncommon to see garbage laying around at night including the odd corpse lying around. The ward’s competition colors are Burgundy & Orange.
“Field Ward”: Once a caravan yard, this is now the most dangerous ward in the city and the poorest. The streets are made of mud and building are poorly constructed and cobbled together wood shacks and small houses and temporary tents. The only point of interest here is the Endshift Tavern where all kinds of shady deals are made. Trash is everywhere and there are no lamplights around except for those near the entrance to the city gates.
City of the Dead: A vast park with many grassy hills to honor the dead. The main point of interest is the Warrior’s Monument. The park is well maintained and cared for and at night magical globes of light keep it fairly well lit.
Undercliff: A farming community with the main point of interest being the orchard/meadery. At night there are some lights but not many. Dirt roads are cleared and maintained throughout the day.
This map pack is inspired by the Waterdeep setting but is not a replica of the city itself in order to avoid copyright issues.
