Fantasy RPG encounters & maps for D&D/Pathfinder (I)
A digital collection of original Fantasy RPG encounters with maps for use with Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) 5th Edition & Pathfinder.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Wed, May 15 2019 9:48 PM UTC +00:00.
Blue Phoenix Cartography is releasing our first 100% original map and RPG encounters collections!
Staff (so far); Writers: Daniel C. Pryor and Alissa Smith-Pryor. Art/Cartography: Daniel C. Pryor & Dean Spencer.
All maps and encounters will be for use with 5th Edition D&D / Pathfinder rules. Documents will be in PDF, maps in .JPG compressed form (both low-res VTT and hi-res for printing). All maps will have grid/no grid variations as well as day/night variations and seasons (if applicable).
We plan to get enough funding to do three types of scenarios packs: City/Towns, Wilderness/Countryside, and Dungeons/Lairs. This will happen if we reach our ultimate goal of $1500 or more. If we go beyond that we will expand our stretch goal even further! Each scenario will come with a digital, high-quality map. Encounters will use stats for Levels 1-4, 5-8, and 9-12 in order for them to fit into your existing campaign. The city/towns pack was inspired by Waterdeep Dragon Heist adventures but are 100% original works. Included in the pack will be how to introduce them into dragon heist.
Below are included same samples of our map quality. Please keep in mind that these are alpha and beta versions and might be heavily modified before final release. Please check the "UPDATE" section here for developments.
Sample of the "rooftop chase encounter":
Here are three different strategies and trails the chased person will use, according to difficulty level, etc.:
The rooftop chase will also show each season as well (Summer and Winter shown below):
Each encounter map will also have grid and gridless available!
This is but one example of the many maps and encounters that will be in the pack, please check out the "UPDATE" sections for further reports.
