Had my wife for 42 years not passed away, I would have lived my life merrily along, thinking I know everything about life, and the answers to the big questions I'll never know, I thought the intellect was the apex of civilization, being in mechanical engineering I worshipped at the feet of science, if it didn't make sense, I will dismissed it in a heartbeat.
I was not prepared for grieving, it made no sense to me but I couldn't dismiss it, it would not go away, it was debilitatingly painful..
It seems the pain was telling me something," shut up! and grow up!; reality is much bigger than you think". I searched-- begged for answers, there were bits and pieces here and there but everyone were mostly clueless.
It was not until I stumbled on physicist and consciousness researcher Tom Campbell's My Big Theory of Everything that I made the connection, the mechanism for causing pain is in the physical body, but the source was in the non physical, two years ago that made no sense to me, but because of Tom's work it made a whole lot of sense, Tom unify philosophy, physics and metaphysics, it was five in the morning and the pain left me----!
The Maori of New Zealand initiated Tom's multi continental cultural connection tour, tagging along I visited the Ngati Porou Iwi in Kennedy Bay Coromandel looking for correlation, not proof; I met Wikepa Kaumatua (Leader) of their Marae, Erica who is a Matekite (A Seer/Shaman) and her husband Steve.
Turns out the Maori have been saying the same thing as Tom for centuries with their metaphors. We are all connected and are co-creaters of our future, they have the experiential knowledge and Tom has now given them an evidential explanation.
After attending Tom's workshop in Auckland, Erica, Steve, Wikepa and I are proposing to build an Awareness Centre to teach and share the big picture knowledge with the rest of the world, combining Ngati Porou Maori Principles (Tikanga) with MBT Principles, the experiential with the evidential.
The courses will be designed to converge on how to live a harmonious life and techniques for transitioning to see the big picture and answer the big questions; who are we really? are we physical or spiritual beings? why are we here? what is death? what happens after we die? how should we live? are we living in a virtual reality? Courses will include Maori group approach and how to get there, Tribal environmental wisdom, Mindfulness, Awareness, MBT Principles, Binaural Beats, Meditation and exploration of new ways to understand this reality.
We would like to make this a flagship centre for the rest of the world indigenous people and wisdom cultures, they have a leg up, they have been practicing the ancient wisdom that everything is connected for centuries, and they should again become teachers of men and women, to be an inspiration for other culture, "have them come to us", " instead of joining them" in their dash for the abyss.
The funds will be used to buy the land and build a 12 room villa and a reception and teaching area, if we raise the funds we are proposing, we will be entitled for a 70 % New Zealand government grant which will allow us to build more accommodation and expand our courses.
Who will benefit? The Maori? New Zealand? or the World? We think all of the above; but mainly the Maori youths, the centre will be a role model for them, while raising everyone consciousness and reducing entropy, we can finally acknowledge indigenous communities wisdom contribution to politics and world governments, hopefully we can export this idea to other cultures around the world, we need it all and we need it now.
Risks and challenges
The challenges to this project are getting the permits from the local and federal governments, but they actively encourage indigenous self sufficiency, hence the grant, with the Tribe on board it should not be a problem. We choose to buy the land instead of accepting free land from the tribal council because it will give us more autonomy. We hope to complete the project in two years, August 2019, we will distribute rewards as soon as permits to build are acquired except the ones for staying at the centre, they will have to wait until it's built.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
