...the perfect combination of scissors and a razor.
Neither (1) hairless-child nor (2) bush-man
You can now (3) prune back areas of medium/long hair to a preferred density with a pocket-portable MANMOWER™ barbarian, whilst saving the planet from waste, and your body from stubble-burn.
This is the second project from the independent UK inventors and makers of the MANMOWER™. The first project was for a stubble trimmer which was successfully crowd-funded on Kickstarter at the end of 2017; is currently sailing around the world on a clipper (geddit?); and will be seen on Channel 4 at 5.30 on the 24th April in the UK.

The MANMOWER™ stubble trimmer and the MANMOWER_barbarian™ share parts and are robust, travel-friendly, patented and supremely eco-friendly.
Whilst the previously-funded MANMOWER™ is for neatly and comfortably maintaining or mowing a short stubble beard, the barbarian is for sculpting or pruning areas of medium to longer hair. Might be on the back or chest, might be on the arms or legs. Might be up- or down-stairs. Basically wherever there is just too much hair, in the wrong place.
You might not want the hair because you find it objectionable. You might not want all the hair because you are a long-distance swimmer, a biker travelling around the world, or a Lycra-clad cyclist who doesn't want the hassle and stubble-burn associated with clean-shaving. You may just not feel 'beach-ready'. Either way the barbarian allows you to prune hair back to a level you like, comfortably, quickly and without charging, electrics, razor blades, product or waste.
The barbarian mower thins out bushy areas of hair, progressively and uniquely allowing you to have a perfectly managed but natural look.
This also means there is no stubble burn (and/or no need for constant re-shaving) as with standard trimming and shaving devices.
The more you roll it around your body, the more pruned you become. Nothing wrong with a bit of well-tended bushiness, after all.
in the UK, you only need to purchase blades once
Precision-engineered in Lincolnshire from just stainless steel, silicone (and brass if you want) your barbarian mower will be a solid tool that will be there wherever you need it, whenever you need it. After all, how often do you need to buy scissors? And you won't need to worry if you drop it in the shower.

Finally... some science about being hairless :
"Long ago surgeons figured out that shaving a body part prior to surgery actually increased rather than decreased surgical site infections. No matter what expensive and complex weapons are used—razor blades, electric shavers, tweezers, waxing, depilatories, electrolysis—hair, like crab grass, always grows back and eventually wins. In the mean time, the skin suffers the effects of the scorched battlefield.
...hair removal naturally irritates and inflames the hair follicles left behind, leaving microscopic open wounds. Rather than suffering a comparison to a bristle brush, frequent hair removal is necessary to stay smooth, causing regular irritation of the shaved or waxed area. When that irritation is combined with the warm moist environment of the genitals, it becomes a happy culture media for some of the nastiest of bacterial pathogens, namely group A streptococcus, staphylococcus aureus and its recently mutated cousin methicillin resistant staph aureus (MRSA)."
And, a link to an article from London Metro on why "hairy men are hot".
The summary being : "Nothing wrong with a bit of a tidy up but men stripping themselves of all masculinity completely seems a waste."
Risks and challenges
The MANMOWER™ initial run is pretty much ready, and will be issuing in May 2018. Any MANMOWER_barbarian™ sold here will be a part of this already-booked production run. The MANMOWER stubble trimmer is now available online for £49, but barbarians are only available here, now.
The MANMOWER™ stubble trimmer and MANMOWER_barbarian™ have modular components. This means that interchangeable parts such as handles, holders and drive mechanisms for the stubble trimmer will also be suitable for the barbarian.
The MANMOWER_barbarian™ is not sharp or dangerous, it is for pruning hair back progressively on repeated passes, not razing it to the ground in one. It does not function in the same way as an electric trimmer, so may not be well-suited for detail work, delicate or small areas.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
