GLADSTONE'S SCHOOL FOR WORLD CONQUERORS BOOK 3: SCORPIO KANE
Gladstone's School for World Conquerors 3 continues the critically acclaimed young adult graphic novel series created by Armand Villavert and Mark Andrew Smith. Book 3 is lettered by Patrick Brosseau and colored by Jessie Lam.
Clocking in at 200 pages and utilizing the original graphic novel format, Gladstone's 3 is the very definition of a page turner with a hundred page battle royale fight sequence.
That's right! A hundred page battle royale!
This volume of Gladstone's School for World Conquerors is a love letter to Manga where we take our characters out onto the open road, ramp up the speed, and see just how fast they can go.
Book 3 follows our band of Villains on their Cosmic Quest as they come across Scorpio Kane and his band of mercenary villains. On this adventure they're joined by new recruits 'the Speed Specter' and 'Man O' War.'
Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors is a Young Adult Graphic Novel series by Armand Villavert & Mark Smith about a top-secret academy for the children of the world's greatest Super Villains to learn their trade.
Ever wondered if Super Villains go to school? Ah, you assumed they were born with their special skills. Think again, in Gladstone’s School for World Conquerors we find ourselves amidst the pinnacle of higher learning for the next generation of villains and masterminds honing their craft.
The school curriculum includes the usual suspects of “public speaking” and “biology and chemistry,” and yet that’s only superficial child’s play. Classes like “unleash your hypnotic potential”, “intergalactic battle strategy”, and “ancient relics, spells & mystical arts” are added stressors for straight-A students like Kid Nefarious and Mummy Girl.
Mock battles are unleashed to test their skills with the latest tools of the trade such as “orbs of tranquility” or “grim reaper’s breath.”
Join Kid Nefarious, Mummy Girl, Martian Jones, The Speed Spectre, Ghost Girl, Man O' War, and the infamous Skull brothers unearth the School's and their parent's hidden past.
- Gladstone's School for World Conquerors is co-created and co-owned by Armand Villavert & Mark Andrew Smith.

See what people are saying about Gladstone's School for World Conquerors!!!
"Smith’s writing is fast-paced and warm, his characters rich enough to resonate with all ages of reader, and the character design and outsider edge of surreality recalls Peter Milligan‘s X-Statix, and likewise Villavert’s pen explores the same subverted pop-art style of Mike Allred, albeit with the stylised touch of a Saturday morning cartoon." - Sci Fi Now
"We've been championing Gladstone's by Mark Andrew Smith and Armand Villavert since issue #1, but the last couple of issues have seen the series hit an early stride. In this installment, Smith plays with an enticingly fun and interesting take on superhero comics, challenging the notion of a hero's constant victory of his nemesis and how that would affect a child that is being educated in the ways of villainy.
Watching Kid Nefarious and friends discover their parents losing over and over again in the pages of comic books (which are banned from Gladstone's, for these obvious reasons) is amazing. Gladstone's never talks down to kids and remains all-ages accessible. Better yet, they just might learn something about the tropes of superhero comics in the process.
Gladstone's continues to impress, so if you've been neglecting this series for some oddball reason, it's time to stop doing so. You're missing out, and everyone's going to make fun of you for it." - IGN
"Mark Andrew Smith and Armand Villavert’s tween superhero ongoing stood out as the kind of title Marvel or DC wish they had, but would never be possible at the Big Two. A superhero dramedy set at a school for aspiring supervillains, the series is founded on the concept that the ongoing war between heroes and villains is faked, putting a new spin on the parent-as-supervillain metaphor.
The students are waking up to the reality of their world, and the reader discovers with them, learning the dense mythology of Smith’s story while experiencing the thrill of Villavert’s kinetic artwork. Best of all, Gladstone’s is a title appropriate for all readers, with characters that look and sound like kids, but a plot that any superhero fan can appreciate." - AV CLUB
"Mark Andrew Smith’s tween-supervillain team is similar to the Runaways in that each member is pulled from a different corner of the superhero genre: a mummy, ghost, alien, etc. Smith’s story puts a new spin on the super-school concept that has already been tried in films like Sky High and Zoom. Armand Villavert’s sleek artwork would translate well to computer animation, and Smith’s clearly defined yet whimsical cast makes Gladstone’s a great fit for a studio like Pixar. The chance of a creator-owned superhero team launching a big-budget animated feature is slim, but if The Walking Dead can become the highest-rated show on cable, there’s always hope." - AV CLUB
