Some great pictures! And KNOWN ISSUES PART 2
Oh man! As of last night, we have shipped 9,704 orders.
That does mean that the last 800 or so have yet to ship! If your order contained: cards in tins, German cards, an empty Sidecar box, a specific deluxe box number, a personalized certificate, or goats, your order has yet to ship. Some other orders have also yet to ship. This is a long process!
But lots of people have received their games and taken some cool pictures!!
SUCH AS THE FOLLOWING SWEET GAME PHOTO #1:
Thanks for this sweet picture, Rob! I am going to send you this CUSTOM GAME CARD in the mail:

Tiffany this is so cute! You will be getting the following custom game card from me:
Sorry for the bad penmanship here – I literally have so much nervous energy right now that my hands are shaking, and it's taken me all morning to write this update because I have to get up and pace around every couple of minutes. SO EXCITINGGGGGGG
I have decided that I will award FIFTY of these custom game cards to people who tweet pictures of their game using #machineofdeath! (And you can cc me too: @malki.) Some of the pictures I've already seen will be awarded in the coming days...But there is still plenty of time to tweet your own.
If you don't have Twitter, you can also email me your pictures! That is fine too. (As long as you're OK with me posting them publicly.)
I'm not going to clog the Kickstarter updates with all fifty pictures (maybe just a few standouts), so if you'd like to see them all, please check out the new Tumblr I just set up, themachineofdeath.tumblr.com. I'll be posting more stuff about the game and books there too, in the coming days and weeks! Also, browse the hashtag to see other people's posts!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PART 2
Just a reminder that the customer service email for all inquiries is info [at] machineofdeath.net. Please remember to include your order number (from your tracking email or packing slip, starts with WMRK), if you can. I'm trying to get back to everyone within 24 hours. If you have any questions or concerns about order contents, customs, etc., please don't be shy to write. I want to help you get your games!
"My tracking info says my order was delivered, but I didn't get it?"
The worst case scenario here is that the order disappeared from your doorstep. But (for US orders, anyway) the first course of action – after looking in the bushes and at the back door and so on – is to contact your local post office. We are using FedEx SmartPost for domestic shipping, which means that it moves through the FedEx system but then is handed to your local post office for mail carrier delivery. So even if FedEx thinks it's been delivered, the mail carrier may still have it, or it may still be at your local post office.
In a handful of cases we have also heard that post offices have held onto items for insufficient postage. This is NONSENSE and NO order was sent with postage due – it's some miscommunication between their system and FedEx's. That said, what we DON'T want to happen is that your package is returned...So I think the best course of action is to pay the postage, and contact me with all the info. I will reimburse you for the postage, and then bother the shipping company about reimbursing ME.
If your package WAS stolen, we will send you another. If it's been, let's say, three days after the package says it was delivered, and your post office doesn't have any record of it, then contact me and I will queue a reshipment for you.
"I received my Deluxe Box and it had this weird white box in it. Is this a deck I was supposed to receive and didn't?"
That white box is just a spacer to keep the dividers up. I am hearing from some people that it was put in sideways, or crushed, or something. That's okay; it was a noble effort. You can keep it or throw it away, at your preference. Put it to work for you, if you like. Keep your custom cards in it!! OR use it as a JAIL for the cards you HATE. Whatever you want.
"I received my Deluxe Box but not the other things indicated on my packing slip. Will they be coming in a separate shipment?"
Yes, you will be getting a separate package with everything else! Please watch for an email about this in MERE MOMENTS.
BONUS LINK: BoardGameGeek's Machine of Death page is another good place to talk about the game – already there are some variant rules and questions about the rules that have been clarified! I am checking in there occasionally as well to answer any questions.
