The World's First Mobile 3D Printing Backpack for MIGO

Posted by MakeX (Creator)

Hi Backers,

Migo was born to be the most portable 3D printer in the market. And after we launched it on Kickstarter, we have received lots of interesting suggestions. One of the most popular ideas is that could Migo be a "walking while printing" printer as well since Migo is a portable printer and can be used at home, office, studio, etc? This is really a cool idea. And we did it! Migo is going to be the world's first 3D printer that can be used at any time and anywhere with the customized backpack.

In order to bring this amazing idea into reality, we designed this backpack—customized for Migo. With this backpack, your idea of "walking while printing" with Migo can come true! Here we would like to share its design prototype to each backer.

This mobile 3D printing backpack is very compact  and you can put Migo, portable battery, filament all into it effortlessly. With it, 3D printing will not be an activity confined to indoors only. You also can enjoy the printing at any time and anywhere you want to bring your creativity into reality!

This backpack is under one of our stretch goals. If we can not reach that, we will finish its development after Migo. And if we can make it, we will bring it to everyone in advance. If you also think it is a cool idea, don't hesitate to share us!

I would absolutely want one of those to protect the Migo!

I hope it will be available to purchase.

What an unique idea. Not only does it serve as backpack, but also as an enclosure! It would be cool if you could add an outlet so you can lead the power cord through. So you don’t depend on the accu.
You could even print exotic filaments that require an enclosure!

Neat carry case even if not used as a backpack - definitely might want one... but one question - I don't seem to see any ventilation. Doesn't that need some to not overheat?

Would definitely add a little to my pledge to get one, if it was an option that way.

I love this backpack! It will also be a conversation piece as well!
