Triple Milestones, a caveat, and a teaser to a cool update coming later today!
Hello "Witches" and "Warlocks" (and "Familiars" too!),
Three things: 1) Milestone Announcement, (2) Teaser, and (3) a Caveat
Firstly: We hit THREE milestones last evening! We hit 33% funded! We passed the $5,000 mark, and we hit the 100th backer! So we are getting there! This is great news. We get closer and closer to critical mass! Woohoo!
Secondly: I will be shooting out an update in a little while with a cool addition / modification to the campaign in the form of a contest or challenge. Stay tuned! I bet you will like this!
And finally, a caveat: The natural lifecycle of a traditional Kickstarter campaign has most of the backers backing toward the beginning and especially the end of the campaign. You can think of it as a U curve or a bimodal distribution. So the long period in between these two can be disheartening for both project owners and backers. This long period is often called "the mid-campaign slump". Some get discouraged. Some backers even stop pledging if they think it will fail (which makes no sense to me because you are NEVER charged if a campaign fails). So during this period that we are in...aka the slump...don't be alarmed. I posted this because several of you are new to Kickstarter and I wanted to explain the progression of the campaign.
Stay Tuned for the upcoming update!
