Almost, KrilionGD (forum/discord handle) has been working on docs for the new release and D20PRO in general. His docs are going thru a proofing stage but should be available extremely soon!
Soon as Kril approves a share, I'll update the KS with a link to either the production area or an early access review area. We'd love some feedback and what not to help refine the docs and process.
Is there any documentation or a user manual out?
Hero Lab importer is trucking along. It'll likely release after gencon tho as Thraxxis is on vacation with his family for a week and I'm gearing up for Gen Con itself. We're really close tho on that one!
(thanks about the announcement, we got soft approval back in Sept... and have had to sit on it for months for various reasons... at least it is finally out and in the open)

I also saw the proposed feature list for 3.7.2...is the Hero Lab native importer for PF going to make it in there?

Thanks for the quick reply and good news. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how important the ability to use HL data in d20Pro is to a lot of us, and cutting out the extra step of exporting from HL before importing into d20Pro is just icing on the cake. Cool!
HL doesn't want to support custom exporters going forward so the basic importer will not pick up mythic stuff because we're not getting the data from HL. Work on the native importer is definitely moving forward tho. We're targeting end of July early August (pre-gen con) for native support
Any idea when the Hero Lab importer will get some love? I totally understand that the native .por importer is a WIP, but the basic .hld20pro importer seems to be backsliding (setting all ability scores to 10, adding fighter levels instead of mythic tiers, etc.) as the d20Pro versions increase...
working our way there. To bring multitouch online we have to replace the current map renderer with a JFX renderer. That's part of the plan for the map update which is definitely coming up in the queue.

yes, we're running a number of starfinder games at GenCon on D20PRO -- conversion is already underway! We may not be ready to launch the product at GenCon, but we're going to try to have it available shortly after.

Since it's a new month...any licensing updates?
Just about anywhere. Then open the Content Library, selected the Creature Library and click on Import -> d20pro.
That should bring the updated creature into the system!
Also, we're testing .20 this weekend with a plan to roll out the update and bug fixes early to middle of next week!
where do we put that ctr file?

This is a slam of the other party in this, not you: this seems to be taking a huge amount of time compared to how seemingly quickly they handed licensing to FG.
My question was poorly worded because it's a bit meta-legal...is there any estimate you can communicate of when you will be able to communicate 5e licensing? Sounds like the answer is 'no', but I was looking for something like "we expect to be able to communicate more by Q3 2017"...so not a communication of a deal but an estimate of when you hope to be able to communicate a deal's been reached.

Hello Alexandre, I'm going to answer your support question via direct messaging so I can get you into the support system. As to the offline and/or changed port, Yes, you can run it on localhost (local to your system) which is effectively the same thing as "offline"
And how do I activate my licence? It says I have no licence when I connect?
Is there a way to use it offline or to change the port used to connect?

Okay...but let's look at the actual situation.
We've had MONTHS during which we know there have been negotiations and we know that to-date these negotiations have resulted in nothing that can be communicated.
And yet FG has gotten licensing for basically the world of 5e.
I DO have lots of data from the past few years that WoTC/Hasbro are prone to nasty or stupid moves, and I think that's more likely than other alternatives.
You assume a lot with no information....and you know what they say about assuming. ;)
Yep..just speaking for my own needs. I have no real data, but it sounds like the Has-Bros are being jackasses..so in the end I may still be stuck with FG for 5e.
Of course they can't communicate anything about licencing until the deal is made. That's how business works. Ad I'm okay with open content. I do all homebrew.
Agreed all 'round...the reason I've got mixed emotions about this is that they can't communicate anything about licensing...so after all this time, and all this stopping and starting, it may finally arrive and STILL not be able to support DnD5e.
If this launches and all they can do is the stuff in the open content, then like Herolab, it's still not usable for me and I'm stuck with FG.
I believe d20Pro is supposed to be an easy route. It's just not done yet.
Whatever works for you man. My fiddling doesn't take any extra time. But I can understand wanting to take the easy route.
@Tay-Dor -- never said it couldn't be done, but I have at most about six hours per month to play --usually a single, long Saturday gathering. My work day is long, and I have an active 11 year old...that leaves SOME time, but I don't want to spend that time fiddling with customizations for software.
For me the whole point of buying software is to eliminate tasks. So CAN d20Pro do it...yep. and HeroLab can also do it with a community-built pack on their SRD core...but FG right now does it all, and I just had to pay them. I gots money...I ain't gots time.
I'd prefer to use d20Pro, but it's not ready.
As an early backer, I just want to chime in and say that I have been very pleased with what I've gotten out of D20PRO. I see how much effort Owlbear puts in, the obvious care and love he puts in, and how much he respects us. This is why I am willing to wait for the product to be done right.
Jim Todd has mentioned he's using Fantasy Grounds because he's playing 5e. Well I've been running a 5e game using D20PR for over a year and its works very well. There are a few work arounds within D20PRO that make running a 5e game viable.

I'ts going to be pretty lightweight. The Unity bits being added are being supplied as webgl -- designed to work in browser and on mobile, so yeah, a trash80 might be pushing it -- probably need at least a TI99-4a
Does the use of Unity impose any new requirements as far as client horsepower, or is most of that on the host? Some of my players are joining on their TRS-80s and Osborne 1s (both computers I've owned) and other ancients.
Hi Todd -- sorry if the update left you confused. I'm still following a policy of straight up honesty and so was blunt. I'm also following the suggested shorter faster updates -- so yeah, in the last few days we uncovered some more bugs in the system. This is to be expected as we move toward launching the feature library. We'll be launching a beta for backers as soon as possible and prior to the ui updates -- but the full thing release is still baking.
Your updates leave me literally confused. I have no clue what the roadmap is (nor remaining time left) to get the rest of the features promised to us.
We keep getting updates about "this library" thing that "still has some bugs" for about three months now, but like, there's no real progress as far as I can tell.
I still can't play my game using this technology due to the limitations within the system itself, and have no clue when I'm going to be able to do the things promised in the original Kickstarter. We're 2 years past the deadline (and I know your reasons for it) but it feels like we are literally no closer to the goal than when we started.
Even the second most worst delayed Kickstarter I've backed (paranoia) is about to start shipping it's rewards to backers.
D20PRO is live, but a lot of features from the KS are still being worked on. World Engine just funded (!!!) and will go live when it's ready as well -- timeline over here:
