The Orcfather is a card game based on a fantasy-themed mafia in which a player's characters can be Orcs, Elves, Ogres, Undead, Dwarves and more. The players form two mafia families that are confronting one another, and each of the families elects its own "godfather" at the start of the game; the goal of the game is to eliminate the head of the rival family.
Each round starts with a planning phase in which players must secretly prepare the actions they plan to take — attack, defend, or business — but players cannot speak to one another during this phase. They must use their intuition to develop plans as a team, predicting the actions of both allies and enemies. Once all players have decided, they act in order.
While the attack and defend actions are somewhat obvious, for the business action players draw from the business deck, gaining cards that enhance their attacks, potentially save allies from complicated situations, and more.

Castle Rising is a German-style board game for 3-6 players in which you choose an economic strategy to try to create the most prosperous kingdom. Players acquire resources (food, wood, stone, metal and gold) to train troops and construct buildings to earn benefits at different stages of the game and victory points to win the game.
Players can acquire resources in three ways, the main one being through your peasants, with each player starting with three. You decide which resources to produce, but some are easier to get than others, so you can play it safe or risk trying for a few more precious resources. You can also gain resources through rangers, which you must first train, which takes several units of food and wood.
The last way to gain resources is through the bidding phase. Each turn, all players bid secretly on one of five different resource bundles.
Our main goal is to gather the funds needed to produce a first limited print run of the game. You can support us by ordering it or by spreading the word about this campaign on forums and social networks. Backers should be receiving their order within January 2015.
