Artipia Games proudly presents Drum Roll. An economic and resource management game by the Greek designers Konstantinos Kokkinis & Dimitris Drakopoulos. The game features the art of Antonis Papantoniou.
Drum Roll uses worker placement mechanism. Players take over the role of circus owners in the early 1900s. They travel around Europe and give shows.
During the game players will have the opportunity to hire performers and personnel to work in their circus. Each performer will have specific requirements in order to give the best performance. For a successful show, players will have to satisfy the needs of their staff and after the curtain drops, pay salaries.
In each game, players will give 3 shows. Before each show they will have 5-7 turns of preparation where they can acquire resources, sell tickets, invest and hire new staff.
By the end of the 3rd show, the player with the most prestigious circus is the winner.
Drum Roll was first published in October 2011. It made its debut in Essen-Germany and was considered by many, as one of the highlights of Spiel 2011. While the game was available in Europe, no copies ever made it to the US and Canadian market.
Our goal is to reprint the game and make it available in Europe, USA and Canada. In order to achieve that, we need your support to reach our funding goal of $15.000 which will help us cover a part of the reprint costs.

Drum Roll is scheduled for production in March 2013. The production of the game will be done in Germany's largest manufacturer ensuring high quality materials.
Backers should be receiving the game(s) between May and June 2013. Shipping to USA and Canada will be done through our US Distributor Shipping to EU and the rest of the world will be done directly from Artipia Games. USA and Canadian backers should expect the game(s) about 20 days later.
Please note that the published product may have differences regarding sizes, quantities or layout because of production limitations/adjustments.
Risks and challenges
Please understand that unexpected delays by factors out of our control can always occur. Component shortage, manufacturer error, weather conditions and customs delays and only a few of the reasons delivery could be delayed. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the games get delivered in time but there is always a chance of unexpected delay.
Please back this project only after taking this information into account.
