@Michael - I see what you mean - I didn't notice the symbols at the bottom at first because they didn't pop out. But I guess you'd get used to looking for them there as you play the game.
@Mage - Board looks great! Are those hand bones? (trying to identify what sort of bones your artist chose to use...)
Hey Mike :)
Nice to hear you
Wow...they look very very nice!!!
Thanks for the feedback Mike.
I can guarantee you that any other way would mess the card. we tried many things and nothing was good. however we will try to set some things, details to make them a bit more visible.
I'm a little concerned that the icons on the cards aren't easily readable. That is, they don't "pop" off the card because they blend in with the background. I love the art though... I wouldn't do anything drastic.
i want all the invaders become miniatures
I suddenly want a Corsair mini.
i get your point Kurtis..your example brings me some memories
I have a cloth chess set, it is nearly impossible to get through a game without the board collapsing on itself, every time a piece is moved it moves the cloth, which in turn moves other pieces. It really is a mess and wouldn't want what looks like a great game ruined by such an experience.
Thanks Runar :)
As we speak the production of the Gold Coins and the Dice begins. As soon as i have photos from everything, i'll post them here
Cloth would be really cool in a thematic sense, but it would be a pain to play on. Especially if the cloth is meant to be folded into the box. You'd have these really annoying bumps in the playing-"board" that'd keep tipping over players, shuffling tokens and so on. I'm pretty sure cardboard is the best way to go with this. :)
@Dheydra: Cardboard. We chose a good quality paper to make it really good :)
Next Update: The Rulebook :)
It's probably a dumb question, but I don't remember.
The realms are made of cardboard or cloth?
Love the look of the island :)
Thanks for the update, it's fun to see the design stuff happening.
