WOW, am I ever out of the loop! I just now noticed that this campaign had been cancelled by KS.....lol. I'm such an eeeediot! Ann eeeediot with the attention span of a flea apparently. =)
@Edwin @Damian @Carlos: They got shut down, because this is a copy off of an existing product called the Lamzac produced by Fatboy. Rebranding and reselling is not permitted on Kickstarter. Your best way to get one of these is to order a Lamzac I ordered from them and they're great company and have great product
@Malcolm thank you I got the Lamzac produced by Fatboy it is awesome they sent me the wrong which was not that big of a deal but I emailed them and they ended up sending me the correct color and let me keep the first one they sent their a great company to deal with
This is the perfect example of how Kickstarter is much better than Indiegogo. Kickstarter actively monitors all campaigns and shuts down them when necessary. The difference is that Indiegogo only suspends users, not campaigns when they complain of scams.
@zan: Sorry for the misunderstanding. Kaisr/other versions etc are of course also rip offs. The discussion here was more to do with keeping kickstarter clean of immitations as this should remain a platform for inventors, creators and innovators. Ebay and amazon are well known for copies of existing products, however are just retailer, so its fine if they sell rebranded stuff...
@Malcolm. You mentioned Lamzac by Fatboy as the existing product. Then call this one a rip off. Then you mention Amazon and Kaisr. If Lamzac is existing why is Kaisr "other version(s)" and not a rip off? As much as I think some supporters of this project here are moles, I think the opponents have their fair share of moles too which support other products (not saying you are).
I'm not bothered that this project is suspended, reading the comments here, I think there are trolls on both sides, so I think I'll pass this product altogether. In fact saw an rip off of this product on a local online store which is much cheaper than what's on the market. I like Fatboy stuff, been thinking of getting their hammock. Now that's an original idea!
@Carlos: They got shut down, because this is a rip off of an existing product called the Lamzac produced by Fatboy. Rebranding and reselling is not permitted on Kickstarter. Your best way to get one of these is to order a Lamzac or one of the many other versions of this inflatable loungebags (e.g. checkout amazon or KAISR on indiegogo).
@Olivier, sorry they can't even get your name right. Anyway, Kickstarter has cancelled your pledge as an automatic consequence of suspending this project. That's the thing about suspension - it can not be reversed.
@Creator, two things please:
1. Why is a page on the Internet good enough for you to raise $425,000 but not good enough for backers to report problems with your crappy BelayCords.
2. Can you please let your alter ego "Margarine" off the leash? You are much funnier when you post under that name.
@malcolm we receive Facebook, Twitter, web, Instagram, Pinterest, Kickstarter messages, Kickstarter comments, and emails. We manage requests through a ticketing system. In order to handle them that way, we need them to write us via email, not a comment on a page on the Internet--same as most companies.
@Akil: probably yes... they have been spamming their last campaign, the belaycords with walls of text for the last couple of days, trying to hide all the negative comments. And I realy mean walls, like several great walls of china one after another. The same will probably happen here, so that when they launch something "new" on kickstarter, it's hard tracking the comments from previous campaings....
Please get over your inflated self perception and come to terms with the fact that this project is dead. You misrepresented yourself, called out the KS community and then had the cajones to tell people to report the campaign if they felt there was a problem. Your hubris blew up on you like a bad grenade and your cries for resolution with KS futile attempts. Is this going to continue for the next 52 days?
finally kickstarter does something about this! look at this project please while we are at it... the product already exists in The Netherlands.. the gave it another name (Stixx in stead of Clenchy).. for Dutch people it is even more expensive ordering it on kickstarter compared to the Dutch webstore... this company tries to advertise it's product.. it's not new.. i know it's not the same as this project but still, i believe these kind of projects din't belong here... who would like to report this one too? i don't think kickstarter is going to listen to 1 report unfortunately

Surely you have to see the funny side of all this.
You posted many many times including the link, almost begging people to report this project.
They did exactly what you told them and now your throwing your toys out of your pram.
If you don't find it funny I have to say I do, its not often you see someone so dumb as to instruct people on how to burn possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars of their money by simply following their instructions.
That said, you would of thought that would have been a lesson to you and the silly posts would stop but no, you just carry on taking your foot out of your mouth so you can ram the other one in.
Seems odd to me that several brand new accounts with a sole project backed (Margarine Baker, Mr. White, and tstump) are weighing in in favor of this project, while those who are suspicious have been around for a while and backed multiple projects.
An dieser Stelle kannst du dem Projektgründer gutes Gelingen wünschen, Fragen stellen und dich mit anderen Unterstützern austauschen. Wir bitten darum, den Austausch stets respektvoll und höflich zu halten! Danke!
