Digitalify is an e-commerce platform focused on buying and selling of digital products which was designed mainly for emerging artists and entrepreneurs who want to become recognised or are out of the traditional market.
Additionally, it’s also for all these people who like to discover new, fresh, or different things besides the traditional industry.
It is understood as digital product any merchandise that can be consumed with any electronic device, such as a computer, a smartphone and so on. Some examples of digital merchandise are: music, movies, books and videogames.
In Digitalify, we want to unify all the digital marketplaces out there in a single service. So that users will not need to register in multiple services to purchase the products they want.
Digitalify is a free market where anyone can distribute their products. Provided that those products pass the community filter known as Greenlight (final name may change, suggestions are welcomed).

This campaign is intended to be something else than just to collect funds. The most important part of this campaign is sharing the idea and receive feedback from the community. Because it will help us to figure out what the users really want and how we can improve the idea.
Also, along with this campaign, we have launched a beta version of our service at the following address: http://www.digitalify.tk
We invite you to check it out and share with us any doubt you have, as well as any issues that may occur. Suggestions to improve the quality of our service are also welcomed.
The money collected will be split like this:
- 30€ to cover KickStarter’s fee.
- 30€ to cover payment fees.
- 396.62€ Initial setup of the server (including application fee).
- 100€ Special promotion.*
- 103.38€ Reserved for unexpected costs.
* We will reveal more details in the next days.
The aforementioned costs correspond to the first three months. After these three months, the quarterly cost will ascend to 313.84€. These prices are based on the chosen server, which may vary. Consequently, we need a reserve fund no matter what.
However, if the circumstances don’t change, the server will be a Dell PowerEdge R210 with the following setup:
- 4GB RAM
- Debian 8.0(Linux) as operating system
- Hard disk replacement to 1 TB
- Additional 1 TB hard disk
The chosen hosting will be dinahosting.
If we reach the initial goal we compromise to launch and keep running the service for at least another 3 months. Then, for every additional 400€ we will extend our commitment for 3 more months.
We are sorry not being able to offer something better. Sadly, due to our project’s nature, which is a service instead of a physical product, the possibilities are limited. However, we have more projects in mind and, if Digitalify succeeds, we will proceed to gradually promote and launch those projects.
Anyone who contributes to our campaign will receive a reward according to the amount donated.
- Kind-hearted(1€ or more): This is a symbolic reward. Every cent counts. You deserve our gratitude.
- Generous(5€ or more): As a reward for your generosity, we will shout out your name/promote your project via social networks.
- Backer(10€ or more): Same as the previous one. But your name will have a special place in our website.
- Supporter(15€ or more): This one will grant you the opportunity to test new features earlier. We will send a special code to unlock these features.
- Fan(20€ or more): You seem to be very interested in our project. Surely you would like a Skype call to meet the team. Note: we only speak English and Spanish.
Digitalify is a project promoted by a small team of just two people.
We have met during our college course. Rubén got interested in the idea from the very beginning. Afterwards, we presented the idea as our final term project. After some time, I decided to bring it to life and my colleague joined in happily.
Risks and challenges
We offer a new approach to a business model that already exists: the digital marketplace. Because of that, one of the most evident and probable risks is that our competence tries to emulate our point of view. Luckily, one of our advantages is the fact that we have been the first ones. Moreover, we have planned a series of improvements and additional services in the future.
Another possible risk is the profitability of our servers. Every web server has a limited storage capacity and has a monthly cost. The purpose is that stored products’ benefits should be higher than the server’s cost. As a consequence, we do not store free products in our own servers.
