About

Egyptian

Hi there.
My name is Mike 'm1' Abrams.
I make games.

This is a new card game,
I created, called, Egyptian.

 Here's how the game works:

Egyptian can be played with 2 or more people, whoever wants to deal first, shuffles the deck, then deals out all the cards equally between all the players, including themselves, one card at a time until all the cards have been dealt, face down, so no one sees their cards. All players do not look at their cards, but pick up their stack and keep them in one hand, then take turns flipping the cards, from the front, to the center pile, between all the players, quickly, so everyone sees the top card on the pile, at the same time, one card per turn, until a royal card or doubles appear. Whoever dealt, leads with the 1st card to start the round & put Egyptian in motion.

All players then take turns flipping the cards, from the front, to the center pile, between all the players, quickly, so everyone sees the top card on the pile, at the same time, one card per turn, until a royal card or doubles appear. Whenever doubles appear, the first player to smack the double, takes the whole pile, and adds them to the bottom of their stack, then leads the next round with their top card. Remember, any time doubles appear, two same cards in a row, whoever smacks the pile first, takes them all. If, and when, fingers get crossed, and they will, whoever has the most fingers at the bottom of the hands, takes all the cards.

When a royal card is played, the next player has a chance or chances to flip doubles or another royal card, based on the royal card played at the top of the pile by the last player.

Cats, are one chance. Queens, are two chances. Pharaohs are three chances, Pyramids are 4 chances, to flip doubles or royals.

Anytime a royal card is played, the gameplay continues to the next player, counter-clockwise, and if doubles or royals, are not flipped within the one to four chances, whoever flipped the last royal card, takes the whole pile.

When you get all the cards, you win the game.

Egyptian is kid friendly, super fun, and super easy to learn, but that doesn't mean Egyptian is simple. The gameplay, is not only based on chance, but also on skill & speed, and the game can sometimes last minutes or hours, before someone wins Egyptian.

Also, after all players have played a few rounds, and/or are familiar with the gameplay & rules, a false smack rule goes into effect, and anytime a player smacks a non double, they must put their top two next cards from their stack, under the pile in play. Some players try to smack every card dealt, every time. you know who you are. or you know someone, who knows someone, who does, lol, but that rule only goes into motion after all players are comfortable with & understand the gameplay & rules of the game.

The more comfortable all of the players become with the rules of Egyptian, the faster the gameplay gets. If you run completely out of cards, while the game is still in play, with 3 or more players, you do not necessarily lose. You can smack back in, on any double, if you are fast enough, and are still paying attention. Egyptian is not over until one player, has all the cards. And if everyone playing agrees, new players can smack in on doubles at any time too, making Egyptian a fun game for everyone playing, and anyone watching who wants to play too.

They will, and they do.

So, if you have a family game night, or like playing new fun games with friends, please back Egyptian here on Kickstarter, and in exchange, we'll send you our game.  Thank you, very much.

~ m1 ~
