We're ourselves are commuter cyclists, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to approach the problem from an intelligent design philosophy.  Safety products are too often limited to accessories that are meant for just a single use or activity. Bike lights are meant only for biking, running lights need to be charged separately and motorcycle lights are often not enough on their own. Reflective alone doesn't do you justice when a car isn't approaching from exactly head on.

You shouldn't be stuck with your nose in a screen, especially when you're out enjoying something you love to do, particularly when that something requires your undivided attention. We subscribed to the theory of remaining connected, but not tethered, and that’s exactly what the Lumenus software provides. Too often we see walkers buried in their device unaware of their surroundings, or cyclists that take their eye off the road to check their map, for just one second too long.. We strongly believe that it is our responsibility to give back to our community in order to create something larger than ourselves. ---As fuel costs rise and people become more aware of the environmental impact involved with car use, bicycle riding has become a more common form of transportation, even on busy streets and highways. Because few cities have designated bike paths or lanes, cyclists must share the road with both small and large motor vehicles; sometimes those vehicles do not pay proper attention to bike riders and engage in unsafe driving habits. Compared to a car or truck driver, bikers have little to no protection if they are involved in an accident. As a result, the injuries a cyclist incurs during a crash, even when wearing a helmet and protective gear, are often more severe than those sustained by motorists. Common bicycle accident injuries include road burn, fractured limbs, head and neck injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and even death. One-third of American workers commute 1-5 miles each way to the office, which is a short enough distance that the number of cyclists may continue to increase. Commuting to work by bike has increased 60 percent in the last decade.

Risques et défis
Our team is comprised of individuals who have brought dozens of high end consumer electronics products for top name brands to market over the past decade. We have carefully selected the very best suppliers available who share our vision of creating the ultimate in wearable tech. We are using the highest end brand name components such as TI chips and LG battery cores and leaving no stone unturned. That said, we have yet to mass produce these pieces, and through the process or trial production and beta testing the unexpected is, well the unexpected. We have padded our dates to account for a bit of that and are confident in our delivery schedule and our team’s ability to execute.
