LUMA BOARDS - ESKIMO CALLBOY EDITION
Good friends of us have a metalcore band called ESKIMO CALLBOY. They just released their album THE SCENE. So we're starting with a special collaboration version of the LUMA Board!
Like seen in their video snippet for their new album called "The Scene" this beauty is now ready for preorder as a special perk! Limited to 30 boards with the handprinted EC logo on top!
Keep in mind this board is set to a testing color changing mode to show all colors that will be available! (You can set your color to any from that range )
Ever wondered why so many skateboard brands or product facilities are creating cheap looking boards, trying to combine it with partially lights? Ever thought why those have to be so ugly?
We want to change that.
We developed a concept to keep the look and feeling of a normal skateboard cruiser. Those don't have to look like toys or have to be made out of plastic. That is where we decided to choose only the best materials and get away from weird looking integrated lights.
The problem with current light skateboards on the market is, they have no attractiv design nor any aesthetic character. There was only one solution for us: It has to be handmade to perfect any step to receive the highest quality.
Every step from preparing the materials to integrating the electric components, is handmade.
Only few big machines are necessairy to get our product perfectly done. But every tiny detail is carefully done by hand.
Multiple colors are available and can be set up to personalize your LUMA BOARD:
Inspired by our childhood and our passion to skateboarding, the product design ended up as a homage to the hoverboard from "Back To The Future Part II" - simple and futuristic:
We are a small team who dedicates all their energy and motivation to this project. The LUMA Board actually started as a bachelor exam with first prototypes and corporate design in late 2016.
As just graduated students from Germany we want to make the first steps into a start up and want this to be professional and high quality.
An accessoire for everyone! We want to build a brand, not just a product. Get familiar with even our smallest products, or get it as a gift to show what project you were backing for your beloved.
How does it light up?
There is an integrated 2500mAh battery within the board and linked to several light-diodes.
Is it rechargable?
Of Course! You just plug the micro-USB-cable into the LUMA Boards and can charge it via any normal USB-port.
Does it break quicker than normal boards?
No! It even resists more pressure due to its plexiglas layer, because it is more dynamic and durable than wood!
Why not directly a normal skateboard?
Honestly, this was and is our main goal. But right now we don't have the machines and materials, that's why we're here.
This is our time to create something big, together. This is our moment to illuminate skateboarding once and for all. This is LUMA BOARDS.

Risks and challenges
We believe that a start up is driven by passion and its community. Crowdfunding is the best possibility to show our effort and progress we made so far. Besides, we want to share our project with you and try to spread the word as far as possible, to inspire people and even find new partners to work with.
Of course, we need money. But it is not our goal to get rich. We want to perfect our working processes and want to guarantee the best quality in work and materials. In order to create an efficient way to build our luma boards, we will have to set up a production far beyond our current possibilities.
Right now we are producing our boards by hand, spending all our time and giving all our energy to every detail and working step. But to keep the price low, we have to think big. Right?
So now it's your time helping us bringing a never been done design product on the market. Wether it is money you are backing our project with, hardware or materials you are familiar with, or just ideas, every helpful thoughts and feedback is the best motivation we can get ;)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
