It’s been 5 years since I have released new music and I'm thrilled to be back in the studio working on a new record. This has been a unique period in my life. I'm navigating life’s beauty and complexity and all of its challenges and I’m learning to sing my way through it.
When I look at the life of David in the Psalms, when he was in trouble, when he was scared, when he was unsure, he sang his way through those trials. He faced disappointment and trouble head on and turned it into authentic dialogue with the Lord.
These songs were born from this specific time in my life. A common thread that weaves in and out of them is my experience with my weakness and failures and the beautiful promise of His grace.
I feel like these campaigns work best when the plan for the money is totally transparent. After all, I'm asking you all to contribute money to the campaign and join me as partners in this creative endeavor and nothing allows for a fruitful partnership more than openness and transparency.
So here's a list of my campaign goals, and the plans I have for how and where I will spend the money.
The funds I am looking to raise through this campaign would cover studio time, recording and mixing engineering, musicians, artwork, music preparation, album duplication and distribution. I am aiming to be in the studio by the end of the summer and will follow that up with a release in the fall. I have a handful of personalized rewards available to check out, and naturally, I am grateful for anything you see fit to contribute.
It is my hope to get this music out to as many ears as possible and I am grateful you’ve taken a moment to glance over this page and read about what we’re trying to do. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to my music, to read my story, and to consider contributing to the campaign. Honestly, by virtue of your spending this much time on my Kickstarter page, you've already joined the campaign in spirit as far as I'm concerned. Thank you.
