About this project
Garden Party is the second expansion to our breakout hit [redacted]. It adds a fourth board to the game, and materials for a 7th player to join the many new missions included within it.

Sold out in Europe since Spiel'14, [redacted] is a modern hidden identity game that rewards players that demonstrate ingenuity and cleverness with their actions.
Each player must take actions, use items, and interact with other players while in the hunt for intel. Each agent has one or more partners, and must find them - while outwitting the enemy agents.
On a player's turn, an agent may move from room to room of an embassy, while a gala reception is taking place, looking for the intel that the ambassador is trying to sell. Once found, it must be extracted safely. Failing that, an agent must stop the enemy from doing the same.
For security reasons, the true loyalty of each player is hidden, even from their teammate. Players will have to obtain information the hard way, interrogating or hacking each other, in addition to using items and their surroundings to gain the upper hand.
[redacted] does not depend on lying, betrayal, or social deduction. A player may play the entire game without them, and focus instead on tactical decisions and smart use of equipment and surroundings - like any good spy would.
Inspired in its mechanisms by such great games as Battlestar Galactica, Bang, Saboteur and A Study in Emerald, and in its theme by TV shows and movies like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Mission: Impossible, the Bond films, Archer and more, [redacted] is for those who like mystery - and action - in their games.
The reprint will come with an updated rulebook, and 6 more cards that will indicate player colours. These will also be available to past backers who need them (just message us via KS in November).

The Mercenaries expansion adds yet another level of deep gameplay. There are no more loyalties, and the agents are out for themselves. They still need to cooperate on accomplishing missions, but not everyone's interests align, and the trick is to take advantage of temporary, yet necessary, alliances to make sure that you come out on top.

In Garden Party, the result of more than a year of development, the action moves outside. The added board allows for more space, enough for a 7th player to enter the embassy. The added locations also allow for even more cool actions and feints to be done, in addition to more ways to reach critical parts of the building.
The added space to maneuver, additional missions, and new ways to escape with the intel actually make the game even faster by using the expansion. For example, using the Garbage Drop allows for an agent to look at discarded items and grab the gear necessary to escape a sticky situation.

Note that the US dollar has strengthened against the Euro since the last campaign. Since our costs and prices are set in Euros, this campaign represents even more savings for backers in the US.
The Garden Party expansion will be shipped from Finland. Base game shipments will originate from Germany or the USA. EU backers do not have to worry about customs or VAT.

What You See Is What You Get - this is our doctrine, and we like to run simple, straightforward campaigns. We are aware that offering add-ons and/or introducing stretch goals would increase the funding total. However, we have already thrown everything into this campaign - a lot of time, effort, and money. We intend to print with the highest quality materials anyway and we will not cut any corners.
We also want to offer the game at the cheapest cost possible - and that is incompatible with stretch goals. We'd have to add "hidden" profit in the pledge levels, that we can then "spend" to give you stretch goals to get excited about. Therefore, raising money beyond our goal does not give us extra money on hand to create stretch goals.
Furthermore, because the games are made in Europe, and because we do small print runs, we do not benefit by economies of scale by producing more copies of the game.
If we do offer additional content, we will lock past pledge levels to reward those that supported us early without the promise of the extra content. That's it - you do not need to pay more, or like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or be a fan on BGG - although all of those things are nice of you if you do them, we want you to do them if you want to, not because of a carrot we dangle in front of you.
We do not do add-ons (not even our other games), because we want to keep our operations simple, and deliver efficiently. We are in this for the long run, so it does not help us to squeeze a few more dollars from a few backers, if we disappoint *all* backers.
We also have a maximum number of copies we can feasibly print and ship during this campaign. Therefore it is possible - as we have done previously - that we might lock the maximum number of pledges available across all pledge levels.
Finally, we do not pay anyone to give an opinion on our games.

All rewards for the Pocket Imperium campaigns have been shipped. The Turku / Beaune expansion for Town Center is in the process of being produced. We are working with a manufacturer we have worked with before, and we are confident in our ability to deliver the game and any additional content we create for this game. That said, unforeseen events may affect how quickly fulfillment is conducted, and the final graphics and components that you see presented here are subject to (however improbable) change. Note that our goal is to ship the game on time, by the dates listed on the pledge levels. Shipping a package is different than delivering a package. We do not deliver your game, the shipping company does. Therefore, delivery times will vary according to your local postal services - once we ship, the shipment is the responsibility of the shipping company. If tracking is important to you, please let us know with a message. Informal currency conversions made on this campaign may not be accurate by the time you read this, and exchange rates may impact the cost of these rewards in future campaigns. No parrots ceased to be, and no other avian life forms (early in nature, or otherwise) were harmed in the making of this campaign.
