Loveness: I will only love you once is a poetic, satirical, modernist's melodrama written by Craig muMs Grant. We are thrilled to announce that it has been chosen as an official selection of the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival. The production will go up this August in the West Village's Players Theatre, directed by Labyrinth Theater Company member Jill DeArmon.
Gorgeousness - that that which sits in the root of Loveness. Other than this there is no endearment for or otherwise to describe the messages careening through the mind. None can fathom the entire empires of atoms to a power of infinity that can explode from a kiss. Gorgeousness that that which sits in the root of Loveness.

Loveness: The Play has been developed with The Labyrinth Theater Company over the course of two years, with readings produced through the Labyrinth Barn Series as well as at the company's summer intensive retreat.
This Fringe production is Phase One of The Loveness Project. In the long term, we aim to make a film adaptation. The screenplay is already underway. This summer, we will focus on cultivating the theatricality of the piece, with this production serving as a launching point for further development of the characters and story.
The money raised during this campaign will be used to create the tightest, most succinct production possible. We believe through paying people their actual worth from the beginning we will create an environment that people will be excited to work in over and over again.
Loveness is a poetic dance between the experiential level of human reality - dulled by our fruitless search to complete ourselves through a romantic partner - and an exploration of the deeper, more accurate levels of emotion and the measure of how far we have to go to unlock their truth. Loveness is manifested as the story of Carlyle and Isabelle, who fall for one another. They assume it is love but then must face their true intentions and self-deception.
This is muMs' second play. His first, Paradox of the Urban Cliché, will be produced by Poetic Theater Productions this upcoming fall.
Please stay tuned for all info concerning this production of LOVENESS.
