Update #4

PHANTASMAGORIA!

Comment
This duo, who recently hooked up with 5-3 Dial Tone Records for their 7″ release, proves hard to pin down. They own a genre-defying sound that songwriter Christopher Jarvis simply describes as “electronic pop.” Combine a beautifully rare – and not to be missed – vocal delivery by Lianna Vanicelli with lush synth arrangements, a mash of layered electro-beats with steady live percussion (plus the occasional animal noise) and you have a band with an arty, cool…yet unpretentious, edge. One example of how URGH! A Detroit Music War will bring the current and future of our rich music scene to the world. You can help make this happen! phantasmagoriadetroit.blogspot.com
