Lost Hope - Animated Scifi Comedy (Canceled)
Animated Sci-fi Comedy Stars: Marisha Ray of Critical Role, Michael Hurst of Hercules & Xena & Vince Caso from Felicia Days' The Guild!
SECRET PHRASE: We Have Not Lost Hope!
Lost Hope aims to be a comedic sci-fi epic with mature themes and dramatic overtones. Lost Hope’s creators Jeff Saamanen and Natalie Harvey are shooting for the galactic stage in their satire of all things sci-fi.
Following the exploits of Clara Hope and her team after the unexpected destruction of earth, the inexperienced crew of the USS Hopeful will be forced to protect what remains of our species from the ever looming threats that exist in the vast depths of the unexplored universe.
Both as a couple and as creators, Jeff and Natalie have worked together over the past fifteen years towards their common goals, which include: A graphic novel called Worlds Beyond the Grave: The story of Fate, a live action pilot called 4Villains, a mini series called Hench’D20, and now Lost Hope.
Over the last few years, the two of them have dedicated themselves to completing pre-production of their first four part epic. This includes scripting, casting, voice-over recordings, full character rigs, 3D sets, props and more!
“We didn’t want to bring Lost Hope to Kickstarter empty handed, with just an idea and high hopes. We wanted to ensure we had a fully realized plan for production before asking for your help!”- Natalie Harvey
Lost Hope stars an international cast of talented actors, including Michael Hurst, best known for his role as Iolaus in Hercules and Xena, who also recently directed Ash Vs Evil Dead on Starz. Also involved is Marisha Ray who appears in Critical Role on Geek & Sundry, and Vince Caso who starred as Bladezz in Felicia Day’s series The Guild.
“We have lots of stories to tell, playing out as situations of interpersonal turmoil, as well as large-scale events set on the galactic stage. We want to dive deep into our characters backgrounds, and watch as they struggle to support one another during what may very well be their extinction. Their survival depends on cooperation and no short supply of sarcasm... okay mainly sarcasm.”- Jeff Saamanen
In a galaxy of full of awesome adventures, Lost Hope will stand above the rest. Watch their trailers, behind the scenes, making-of videos, and all things Lost Hope over at LostHope.tv

Risks and challenges
1. Perk Fulfillment can have its run of issues as apparent from several mishaps across all crowdfunding platforms.
We have sidestepped this risk by developing all our perks ahead of time, offering each perk with proper shipping costs, and have been ensuring all aspects of fulfillment are met before any funding earned here on Kickstarter is allocated to production.
Further more We have created an account set aside from this campaign to put away our own funds to ensure any hiccups we encounter along the way will have a budget to help mitigate.
2.Costs per day for labor and the expensive infrastructure necessary for modern animation production, which can eat up all profits, and then some.
However using modern tool sets and a productive workflow we have managed to create a sustainable development pipeline to ensure we keep on task with a lean team of professionals. Our software integrates all aspects of our workflow into a single animation suite, allowing for a seamless transition from pre-production to full production.
And with both 3d & 2d managed and animated from with in one software package our work may be substantial, but made manageable for a smaller team!
3. The very high initial investment which must be made to get up and running, even a "garage" approach to animation takes some serious $$.
So we have gone ahead of this campaign and built all the required assets needed for this 4 part pilot. We have gone out of our way to mitigate risk, and streamline production should we be funded.
We have put so much work into prepping, even as we campaign here on Kickstarter we continue to work on the pilot out of pocket and home! We are determined to make this happen and feel we have prepared ourselves the best we can to jump into full production!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
