Got the app downloaded and have used it several times with no failure! Love it. Do want to know when I will get my case though.

      Please update

    2. MJP on

So, I borrowed a fruit-phone to download and install the App, probably at the same time as everyone else - and sure enough, trouble creating the account. Waited a couple hours and retried - success.

Used it to pay and it worked well :) Had a minor hiccup the first time where the card wasn't accepted by the reader (VeriFone), but, second time, it went through. Even had a few "ooohs and aaaahs" when I used it.

If you listen carefully, anytime you press the button, you can hear the unit doing its thing :p

Got my loop to work! Everything's going great! Keep at it guys

    4. Rajat Subhra Gupta on

Can't sign up for loop via app. Either it's a cocoa error or personal data can't be verified. Device - iPh 5 on iOS 7

    5. Gautam Kaul on

      Can't sign up via app...
      Gets timed out !!!

    6. Chris on

Just used the fob to pay for lunch. Very successful.

    7. Pejmon Hodaee on

Anyone else having issues with it telling you your loop is already bound? :/

    8. sorphin on

Still waiting for the Android one, since I don't iDevice.

    9. VTRenegade on

Ya I gave up for the day will try again tonight or tomorrow.

    10. Pejmon Hodaee on

VT, just give them some time. Many servers would crap out with the level of DDoS we are causing.

    11. Chris on

Mine works great. Great job loop. Thanks!

    12. VTRenegade on

They are reporting that they have server overload. Great planning Loop Team. I always wanted to be a beta tester for you. What a crappy way to do business.

    13. Pejmon Hodaee on

Oh no! Looks like we may have killed their server!

    14. VTRenegade on

      Same error. Cocoa error 3840.
The app doesn't work. Good job loop.

@Matthew - it was demonstrated in the most recent YouTube video the Loop team released to us:…

Watch it from 3:30 until the end. There's a neat trick you can do at the gas pump to get Loop to work on it (although you still need to use a driver's license - it beats carrying around a bunch of credit cards with a risk of losing them).

      Hope that helps!

    20. Missing avatar

      Matthew on

@Bluezbra how can you use loop at a gas station?

      BluZbra on

@Loop Team. I have been very supportive and patient as a backer of this project, and I would normally stand up for you and tell the other backers to be more patient and to cut you some slack, but I can't. Countless backers have asked you for an update on the app's approval, and I am certain you have seen the comments, but you have yet to respond or release a new update. Please give us an update - good or bad.

It's one thing to delay releasing the app because of forces that are beyond your control (i.e. Apple taking its sweet time), but it's a completely different case when communication IS in your control and you choose not to use it. You can keep your backers happy by keeping them in the Loop. Please restore our confidence in you and let us know what is going on. Thanks.

    22. Thomas Fabrizio on

Hate to be a nag. But the time promised was Christmas. I've been patient. I know it's better to work out bugs then release and have everyone freaking out. But honestly... This is getting a tad ridiculous. We're now into February. And yeah I have my fob. But it's useless without the app. I'm getting extremely impatient. I've been patiently waiting for the app. But it's been much longer than projected. What gives?

      Kevin O on

So it has been at least 6 days. Since the estimate was 3-5 it would be nice to get an update on the status of the app.

    24. Dave W on

It's still only noon in Cali, so I imagine it will be later today after dinner EST. Then again, there's that 2%.

    25. Chris on

@phil and @matt I'm starting to wonder if the app got denied and we don't know about it yet. Seems to not make a lot of sense.

    26. Phil Fisco on

      Any day now apple

    27. Matt Brian on

Funny, as per Apple 98% of all apps have been reviewed in the last 5 days .....

    28. Dave W on

      Still no app. Damn.

    29. Shawn Jordan on

      @daniel is that app out?

It makes me so happy to know there's a way to pay at the gas pump with Loop (even though it takes some crafty hand movements to get there). Can't wait to try it!

      Hi Michael,

We just sent you a message to take care of your issue. Thank you for your support!

      I haven't received my fob?

    36. Missing avatar

      BluZbra on

Apple averages its app approval turnaround at 10-14 days (using calendar days), so that means weekends are included. There have been apps that have been approved over the weekend. So there is hope! I think we'll get the Loop app right around mid-February (probably just in time for Valentine's Day).

    37. Chris on

Does anyone know if app approval can occur during the weekend?

The 2 comments that precede this one pretty much sum up the character and breach of user VTRenegade here on Kickstarter.

In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

This sense of the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, but have been used more widely. Media attention in recent years has equated trolling with online harassment.

@Justin Unfortunately, a troll is a troll. (Which, regardless of what 'renegade' thinks, he is a troll.). He is obtuse enough to not understand what netiquette is, probably because back home in 'vermont' (which is only good for maple syrup apparently), they don't teach manners. Anyways, back to our usual loopappwaiting. lol.

Odd that on some comment boards here, profanity is ****'d out. Regardless, when you signed up for this service you agreed to be civil and respect others on this site. By failing to do so, you are in breach of your contract with Kickstarter.

      Hi Feri,

Perhaps you did not receive our previous direct messages that we sent to you. We apologize, Kickstarter emails can sometimes get stuck in email spam filters. You can always view your messages in your Kickstarter inbox. We have posted multiple public updates about the ChargeCase release estimate, and reposted a previous update again today to keep everyone in the Loop. The short answer is that the ChargeCase is scheduled for release in March. In regards to your shipping inquiry - frankly we are puzzled. We clearly stated with each pledge that we will only ship within the US, and you even provided us with an U.S. address in your backer survey. We are also not sure how you paid for international shipping, since shipping was included for each pledge. If you need further help please contact us at include your phone number and somebody will reach out to you.

      Take care,
      Your Friends at Loop

As I read some of the comments I'm amazed how bent out of shape some people get. Folks, being nasty and venting frustrations are not going to get this in our hands any sooner. How about we show a little more respect and act like adults...... We've waited this long, a while longer is not going to hurt anybody.
