Again, thank for your patience on the Spanish translation. For those of you that have downloaded the digital copy, I hope you love it. The physical proofs arrived faster than expected, and they looked great!

Here I am in Thailand trying to share my biggest news of 2019 (so far), and this kitty has a different opinion on what I should be doing.

If you ordered a physical copy, it is now on its way. It should arrive this week if you are in the US, and within the next few weeks if you are out of the US.

Thailand has been fantastic. I had the great pleasure to present and run workshops at Wonderfruit (which is billed as the largest sustainability festival in Asia).

The Spanish version has prologues by two wonderful change-makers. Here is the English translation of the prologue from Victor Villaseñor, Public speaker, author of 13 books including the national best-seller Rain of Gold, and three-time Pulitzer Prize nominee.

"HOW EXCITING!

HOW EXCITING! YES! YES! Both my dad and mom, who grew up in little villages in México, would be filled with joy to see this book, To Catch the Rain. The shelves are full of books to save our Mother Earth, but do they show us how to do it? No, they’re just full of beautiful poetic theory, whereas To Catch the Rain shows us not only how to do it, but that individuals and entire communities are doing it all over our wonderful world!

Glancing through the pages and seeing the different illustrations of how to catch this Gift of Rain from Heaven, I immediately saw that should be taught in schools, because catching rain water isn’t something new. No, it’s as old as time and this little book needs to be given to all across our entire country and the world.

Oh, the joy that would come to my mother even when she was in her 80s every time it rained. She’d rush about, getting pots and trash cans to put outside to catch the rain and she’d be laughing and telling us that this is what she and her sisters would do back in the Rain of Gold Canyon of México. All five of them and their brother and mother would rush about barefoot and full of laughter and joy, getting all wet as they caught this Gift from Heaven. And the taste of fresh rain water, my mother would say, was Heaven on Earth.

And this is exactly what is needed today. Instead of people getting umbrellas and rushing inside and being pissed off because it’s raining, we need to take people back to the joy of understanding that water is life and rain water truly is a Gift straight from Heaven.

No joke, this book, To Catch the Rain, can start turning all of us globally around to the understanding and appreciation that Heaven is already right here, right now on our Mother Earth. Try it! Run outside with joy and laughter, buckets and trash cans and catch the rain next time and sing and dance while you catch this Gift from Heaven. You’ll be happy. BIG, BIG HAPPY! And your garden and flowers will be BIG, BIG HAPPY, TOO.

Can you see it? Can you feel it? This book, To Catch the Rain is a Gift straight from Heaven for all of us.

 -Victor Villaseñor

P.S. Do you think I got the expression “A Gift straight from Heaven” in enough times, or should I go back and add a few more?" "

Until soon.
