This last month was awesome wild ride. When we posted the project, made on a shoestring budget, we weren't sure if we would make our minimum goal. We made the goal the lowest it could be for us to still successfully meet our commitments. We also reached out to our networks of friends and colleagues to help raise awareness (e.g. through Thunderclap, email, social media, etc.). Then we launched and watched with anticipation.

Our launch went better than expected and we watched with excitement and warm hearts. There were some slow times, there were some fast times, there was some great media coverage, there was facebook calling our link spam and removing it from people's feeds... in the end, we past our first goal and reached our stretch goal of $14,000.

In the graph below, you can see the results... and probably also see the plateaus of our stress!

203% funded, 315 backers, $14,273, average $45.31/Backer

Soon we will be sending surveys so we know where to send the rewards. We are in crunch mode getting everything ready, and it is all looking great!

We are looking forward to our next update to you!

Hi John. I do not believe it was malicious... it is more that FB algorthyms are to make money, and they wanted me to pay for advertisements.

      Thank you for your support!

I am surprised you were listed as Spam for a while, was it malicious or a mistake? Anyway, I feel the best way to encourage people is by example, and if a book reaches more people, then a book is the way. I expect gr8 success for the publication and those behind it.
