A team of crooks seek refuge in a safe house for 24 hours, but is their biggest threat within? A British Film noir...
Hello Kickstarter! We are so happy to be amongst the FIRST UK FILM COMPANY'S ON KICKSTARTER! Woohooo!
We have a great core team of people. We are a North West UK based / Isle of Man Film Company and would love for this film to be the stepping stone for creating more British films and work for creatives and film makers!
We are all ready to shoot this January... We have a fantastic original script... we have the locations perfect for the film.... we have a director with a wealth of experience... and we have a fantastic DOP from the USA ... we have started casting ... we have some amazing crew wanting to be involved on the project and are on hold as soon as we know we have the funds to go ahead! We have even secured all post production and editing from one of the top editors working today in British Television.
We have invested all the money we can so far into this film and we have created the project to keep costs as low as possible but we still have a short fall to cover before we can get started.
We need funds to pay for :
Equipment hire (camera's, lighting, lenses and rigs)
Accommodation and expenses
Post production (editing etc)
The amount of funding we are asking for is the absolute minimum needed to make out movie viable. If we dont' reach our target, the film won't get made... :-(
If we do meet our target however, every single penny on top of that will go towards making the whole process smoother and easier. We will be able to add extra cameras to cut down on shooting time, better accommodation for cast and crew and we may even be able to give them more then bread and water so they won't get grumpy!
Although we are a new independent production company, we are lucky to have some amazing and experienced talents involved. Meet the team...!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Money and funding aside, one of our first challenges will be finding cast and remaining crew for the movie. We are so lucky to know many people who ma be the perfect fit but we certainly won't just be handing out jobs to our friends... If we did then we'd never meet any great new people!
We are really excited about the challenge of casting and as actors ourselves, we know both sides of the table. We really don't like the traditional idea of holding auditions in a room somewhere in London or Manchester and dragging in everyone who may fit the part. And we're also really keen to use local Isle of Man people wherever we can and so we are looking at new ways of casting, such as using video auditions through a site such as www.letitcast.com. That way we can be sure to reach people far and wide. It will also be a great way to raise awareness of our project!
The logistics of provinding transit, accommodation and food to the cast and crew will certainly be quite a challenge, even for the small team of 17-20 we have planned. As we will be filming 'off-season', prices will not be at their peak but we will still be searching for great deals with local hotels, restaurants and shops.
This is our first feature film and we are well aware that challenges will come thick and fast. In fact we wouldn't have it any other way, the problem solving camaraderie that can happen on a film set is really a priviledge to be a part of. We are so excited and confident in the team we have started to assemble, we know that challenges along the way will be met with experience, good nature and aplomb!
