welcome to the Century Club

Last night, The Maze of Games hit an unthinkable $100,000. As novels on Kickstarter go, this is unprecedented territory. So, as the nerds we are, we have two options:

We're going with Option B. Thanks for making it possible.

Meanwhile, we thought you'd like a look inside the Lone Shark offices last night, when Liz captured the moment Mike and puzzle ninja Gaby got the news. If you think you have the answer to this puzzle, enter it at and you'll get our new Century Club badge.

Ask Mike Anything on Reddit

At long last, Mike has joined Reddit. At 2 pm EST on 2/22 (this Friday), Mike will be conducting an AMA ("Ask Mike Anything") on the Reddit IAMA subreddit. If you have any questions for Mike, stockpile them and get ready to have them answered. Fair warning: Mike is having knee surgery the day before, so there's a greater-than-average chance that the answers will be just a little loopy.

Also, in our opinion, this Maze of Games article on the Silicon Valley tech journal site Pando Daily is kind of awesome.

Maze of Games Kickstarter Update Puzzle #12

You're halfway through your journey! Here is the next part of your adventure through the maze.

12. "Quit thrashing. You'll only sink!" he yells, clacking his claws in agitation. "Sto1 2!"

When you have the game name that answers the puzzle, go to Type in the puzzle's number and your answer, in that order. If you're correct, you'll get a piece of a maze which you can assemble to help you find your way out! You can find all previous update puzzles at the @MazeofGames Twitter feed.

Thanks for supporting The Maze of Games!

Y'know, I came back and looked at the video again, and suddenly it became completely freaking obvious. Funny how that works.

I don't suppose anyone has a hint on this? I had figured out that maybe the day number and/or backer number might have something to do with the solution, but I still don't seem to have any idea what to enter into the Puzazz verifier. (I tried some things relating to the Key from the original announcement video, and some variants on the dollar amount, taking the 26 and translating that to "$010,001", with ones in positions 2 and 6... I haven't gotten anywhere.)

i like the century club puzzle! and i didn't notice until after i solved it that you guys had manipulated the 'days to go' number to read 26 (which you must have, since as of 2/17, the night before this update, there were actually 25 days to go)... but that was a nice touch. :)

Hooray I'm finally starting to get the hang of these puzzles. That one was a real hoot to figure out.

Nice puzzle within...I am sure Gaby had something to do with it

FYI, we were never going to choose Option A. Though that ocarina was pretty sweet.
