Update #15: Our #FragmentFriday Faves, A Critical Question from One of Our Backers, and Doctor Zeez's Prescriptions
It's Mother's Day! And because we don't want to make Mother Gaia angry, we don't have any news about stretch goals or add-ons for Apocrypha backers today. What we have is a whole lot of nightmares, just like Mom used to make.
To recap, we dubbed Friday #FragmentFriday and created a PDF form of a fragment that people could fill-out and screencap for posting on Twitter. And hooboy did a lot of you do that. The Lone Shark team followed along as you disgorged your deepest memories. We contributed too; click these links if you'd like to see the fragments from Gaby, Paul, Liz, Matt, Keith B., Keith R., Elisa, Chad, Tara, Marie, and me.
But let's talk about you. Choosing from over a hundred submissions, the design team picked some of their favorites which we captured here. Here is Rian's favorite from Myles Griffin, and Gaby's favorite from Scott Hall.
Here is Liz's favorite from Gray Tanner, and Matt's favorite from Johnathan H. Liu.
Elisa picked a beautifully rhymed haiku pair from Nate Jones, while Paul picked one from Richard Malena.
Chad could not decide between two Mother's Day tributes: another one from Richard Malena and one from Paul & Storm's Storm DiCostanzo.
And me? Well, I too was conflicted. Here are my two runners-up from Katy Walker and Michael Andersen.
But I'm the leader of the design team, and heavy is the head that wears the crown. So it falls to me to make a decision as to which fragment was the team's favorite. Everybody loved this one for its efficiency and its amazing grasp of the core concept of Apocrypha. It's another haiku, this one from Sean Geraghty.
Thanks to everyone who participated in #FragmentFriday. I'm sure we'll do it again, because it was so much fun.
The most critical question we've been asked
A backer asks: "Will there be any weresquirrels in this game?"
Answer: GET OUT OF OUR HEADS. And look at nexus #6 on the mission Starstruck.
Doctor Zeez's Journal, Entry #9
Doctor Zeez is spending Mother's Day dissecting a gift for his maternal unit and planning his final strategy for dealing with the polypagus.
If you find the body part Doctor Zeez is looking for, send it in an email to (whatever your answer is)@lonesharkgames.com (without spaces). You will be rewarded by auto-reply with the Badge of the Physicians if you do, and you can turn it into your icon on Twitter, Facebook, Kickstarter, or anywhere else. Please do!
And then tune in Tuesday for the last part of Doctor Zeez's polypagus odyssey.
Thanks for supporting the Apocrypha Adventure Card Game! And a happy day to all our backers' moms, and all our backers who are moms!
