Update #11: A Mission Playmat, Boxes of Hope and Doom, Shipping in Multiples, and 1,500 Fantastic People
We are very happy to have reached 1,500 backers today. Thanks to everyone for that!
Special thanks to Jon Bolding at the Escapist for this great piece about Apocrypha and to all our supporters on BoardGameGeek. If you're on the Geek, please take some time to upvote our pictures there and leave comments, because we like folks there to know about it.
Now, let's talk about more stuff. As you may have figured out, we at Lone Shark love the accessories made by our friends at Ultra PRO. They've done great things with our Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, and they like Apocrypha so much that they're making all the things we'd ever want for the game. We released details of our official character binder on Monday; you can get the "soulbinder" by adding $17 to your pledge, at no added shipping cost.
We have two more great offers from Ultra PRO today.
Add-on: an official Ultra PRO mission playmat
The first add-on is this amazing neoprene "mission playmat."
Here you are looking at two mission playmats, each roughly 13.5" x 24". Each of them has enough spaces for four nexuses and other cards like the master and the omen deck. You can use one mat when you're playing with 1-2 characters, and two mats when you're playing with 3-6 characters. We decided this was better for this game than one large 24"x24" playmat, because you can solo-play on a much smaller surface, where you don't need as many spots for cards. But when the whole choir comes over, you've got two of them for a big ring around the table.
Each playmat goes for $18. Or you can get the pair for the low price of two for $33. No additional shipping is required.
Add-on: not one but two official Ultra PRO deckboxes
And if you like those playmats, you'll probably like these two deck boxes. Each holds all the cards in a character's play deck, or can be used by the gamemaster to hold the cards for a mission. There are two designs matching the omens in the game: the "Box of Hope" and the "Box of Doom."
Each deckbox goes for $3 apiece. Now, you might want 6 of them because you can have up to 6 characters going at once, so we will get you a bundle of 6 boxes for $16. Don't worry about telling us whether you want Hope or Doom or both now; we'll have a survey after the campaign for things like that.
And if you'd like all of these Ultra PRO accessories in one swoop—in what we call the Apocrypha Ultra PRO Bundle—just add the thematically appropriate $66 for 1 character binder ($17), 2 playmats ($33), and 6 deckboxes ($16). Again, no additional shipping required. So:
- If you add a bundle to a Revelation Box by itself, that's a total of $132 plus shipping.
- If you add a bundle to a Revelation Box with all the chapters, that's a total of $165 plus shipping.
- If you add a bundle to a Master's Edition, that's $399 plus shipping.
Shipping for multiple copies
We've been asked about shipping costs for multiple copies a lot, so we figured we'd better have an answer for it. Our new rule for shipping multiple copies is this: Add up the shipping costs for all your copies individually and then divide the total by two.
- In the USA, if you want 1 game, it's $8 shipping. If you want 2, it's also $8 shipping. If you want 6, it's $24 shipping (half as much as shipping 6 copies individually).
- In the EU or Canada: 1 or 2 = $25 shipping, 6 copies = $75 shipping.
- In Australia: 1 or 2 = $30 shipping, 6 copies = $90 shipping.
- In the rest of the world: 1 or 2 = $45 shipping, 6 copies = $135 shipping.
That's for backers, of course. If you're a brick and mortar retailer or a distributor, please contact us individually. We have some retailer offers that you may wish to know about.
That's all for now! Thanks for backing the Apocrypha Adventure Card Game!
