As of now we're going with an insert.

Will the binder have the image screened onto the binder, or is it going to be a paper insert?

The base set does not have any sleeves. The box can hold sleeves.

Does the base Revelation box come with any 3x3 sleeves? If not, are the box dimensions large enough to store some between games?

Rex: If you want to put your sleeved cards in a 3x3 array without the binder, you can totally do so. The binder is for people who want to put their fragments and characters in 3x3 sleeves.

Roy: The binder is not part of the Master's Edition. However, it does contain 6 of the 3x3 sleeves.

Is the binder included as part of the Master Edition or still required as an add-on? Thanks for the info.

I like to sleeve all my cards. So my concern is that if I sleeve all the cards in this game, I can't use the binder at all?
I assume the purpose of the character binder is to store the state of my characters so I would be replacing cards from time to time and moving them. I don't want to have to keep on removing the cards from their sleeves just to put them into the binder.

Rex: The soulbinder is entirely made out of sleeves! You can't put a sleeve inside a sleeve! That's metasleeving!

Does the soulbinder also support cards in sleeves?

I get the distinct feeling that the meta-puzzle at the end of all these little puzzles will be very difficult.

      Yes, same for everyone.

Is the "soulbinder" also just an extra $17 with no extra shipping cost to international backers too?
