In CQ:Heroes, up to 4 players take turns collecting heroes and sending them out to gain victory points for your tavern. From the mighty Paladins and Wardens of the King's Guard Tavern to the powerful Great Wolves and Berserkers of the Savage Beasts Tavern, each player will try to create a strong combo of heroes to defeat even the toughest locations.
THE HERO PARTY:
There is one rule when putting these hero groups together: players may only send ONE of each color to attack.
For your GREEN hero, do you send your Scout for ranged and quickness to take another turn? Or maybe you need the extra damage from the Witch Hunter? Do you send your rare Blademaster into battle now or wait for a healer? Each turn players will have many choices to make.

How To Play:
Starting with the first player, each player performs the following 4 actions in order:
- ATTACK: Attack 1 encounter OR skip your attack to add one additional Hero to your Tavern on the next step
- TAVERN: Place 1 hero in your Tavern (2 if you skipped your attack)
- DRAW: Draw your hand back up to 5 cards
- REFRESH: Draw and add 1 new Adventure card to the dungeon hall
The game ends when either the Adventure Deck runs out of cards (the Goblins 'win') or you defeat the Goblin Keep. Either way, all players count their total Victory Points for their score.

There are many more areas to explore than the Goblin Keep and right now I am also launching Game Pack #2 - Savage Beasts Tavern. The heroes from this Tavern feature Pet heroes that can be controlled by the Beastmaster skill.
The Adventure Deck: Desert Temple features all new cards including a new card type: Raid Boss. These encounters are much tougher than normal encounters and are placed in the location area when revealed.
The new objective in Desert Temple is to defeat 3 of these Raid Bosses to open up the Throne Room. This triggers the final battle where all players make last party of heroes to battle each other for the room's treasures.
With funding for the 1st launch going over 60% in 6 days, I pulled the project for the following reasons:
I offered too much: Offering 4 decks, foils, collector editions, etc was too much. To help with this, I am only launching with two game packs. These each come with a themed hero deck and separate adventures.
A way to try it out first: I also wanted a free PnP download of a demo so people can try it out right away.
Great feedback: The feedback was very valuable and I have tried to update the game to make it even more enjoyable including themed hero decks that can still be shared by everyone. After what has been a few more long months, I'm extremely excited to finally get this relaunched!

Goblin Raiders Adventure intro: The nearby farms are being captured and pillaged! Lead by a Goblin Brute that must be defeated. Player's take turns trying to free Wheat Field locations before Goblin Torchers show up and pillage them. Once the fields have been rescued (or burned), players will then be able to try and defeat the Goblin Brute before time runs out!

The demo deck contents:
A full 50 card hero deck. It has a few heroes from Game Pack #1, a few from Game Pack #2 and a couple heroes from a future Game Pack (sneak peak of the Storm Shaman, Half-Giant Warrior, and Templar)
The full 26 card Goblin Raiders Adventure deck is a spin off of the Goblin Keep Adventure but it also includes a few new cards made just for this demo (mostly to help with the new objective of stopping the goblins from raiding nearby farmlands!)
The demo set was created with demo art/style in mind and is not my final art I will use when I print the Game Pack #1 and #2. It's simply for the demo. The cards also reference 'Raid', this simply means a fight or battle (text will be updated).

Risks and challenges
For my relaunch I am keeping it simple. 2 decks and some tokens. I want to be able to order all of the products and get them quickly so there will be no foils, collectors editions, t-shirts, etc. Just the cards and some tokens. My goal is to have the game in player's hands within 2 months of the campaign ending.
The only thing I may add are stretch rewards. Examples would be a few more rare heroes, extra Raid Bosses, encounters, locations for the adventurer decks, and maybe even a few add on Adventures like the Goblin Raiders demo (nothing complicated that would add to production time)
