Woah! 500 backers! Keep up the good work everyone, we're almost to the 2-weeks-left mark.

Art and environments

Today I want to show you a new piece of concept art.

We've received some feedback that viewers are getting a bit tired of seeing the same environment in in-game screenshots. This is understandable, since we've only fully developed all of the assets for one setting: Summer. The rest is concept art pieces that we will be able to develop if we reach our funding goal. We have concept pieces for Summer, Fall, and Spring, and environments within each of those seasons. The piece above is for the Fall forest setting, and I can't wait to see what it looks like in motion.

Coverage

The Extra Credits team tweeted about the Kickstarter

Giant Bomb mentioned the Kickstarter in their weekly news roundup

Coolio Kickstarters

Hex Heroes

Besides being an interesting take on an RTS for Wii U and PC, Hex Heroes is headed up by Mario Castaneda (artist on The Bridge) and has music by Grant Kirkhope (of Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 fame).

Essentially, the game has one player giving orders to the rest of the group, playing like a crazy genre mashup of RTS and party game. It looks like a lot of fun and I encourage you to take a look. They only have a couple days left!

Popup Dungeon

Popup Dungeon has a striking art style, and it looks like a game that you could sink a lot of time into. The game puts an emphasis on customization and multiplayer. The team behind it has also shipped a game that started out on Kickstarter, so they have a good track record. Check it out!

In other news, we're more than 50% of the way onto Steam, so if you haven't voted for us on Steam Greenlight yet, we would love your help.

Talk to ya soon,
