Hi Ingix! I will get that up on Humble this weekend. I'll let you know when it's up on Humble. Sorry for the wait!

    2. Ingix

The DRM-free version on Humble still says it is from 8/30/2016, meaning without the Steam patches from Sept. 2016. I'd like to ask *again* (see 10/30+31/2016 on this thread) if those patches can be applied to the Humble version. Thanks!

Hi Kartina! I will send you a message through Kickstarter.

    4. Kartina Yahya on

Hi! I'm unsure on where to get the digital copy of this game? I can't find in my email (or maybe I missed it +_+)

    5. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Matthew! Sure thing, I will message you through Kickstarter to get you sorted.

    6. Matthew Gunselman on

Could I please get the PS4 key for the game? I'm finally getting around to playing this, but I can't find the email for getting the game. Could you help me, please?

    7. Ludo Land Creator on

Sure thing! It might take a little while, but I'll get on it.

    8. Ingix

Are there any plans to make the patches that have been applied to the Steam version available to the DRM free version distributed via Humble Bundle as well? The version there is still the original one from 08/30/16, and I (deliberately) got my key for that store instead of Steam.

      Best regards,
      Ingo Warnke

Hello! I sent an email to the LudoLandLogan gmail account requesting a PS4 key, but never got a response that I've seen (double-checked the spam folder). Is there something else I need to do to receive one? Thanks!

    11. Ludo Land Creator on

      Thanks Michael!
It's not Megan Fox the celebrity, it's Megan Fox the game developer :)

Hi, I've no received the mail with the link of my copy (or maybe I missed it) can you resend it to me. Thanks

    14. Michael Glass on

Thank you! I just finished it, it's great. Congratulations!

PS What's Megan Fox doing in the credits?

    15. Ludo Land Creator on

      Hi Michael,
I will send you a message over Kickstarter with a PS4 key as well as details on how to find the email if it hasn't been deleted.

    16. Michael Glass on

I think I must have deleted the email without paying enough attention to it because I only just realised the game's out and I don't have a key! I don't mind missing out on the Steam key if I can have a PS4 one? Sorry about that!

    17. Ludo Land Creator on

      Hi Domenica,
I'm sorry, I'll get it sorted out! I will send you a message, please check your Kickstarter messages.

Hi I'm a backer and I haven't received my email for the game. I don't know why that is.

    20. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Matthieu. Can you please check your Kickstarter messages, I sent you a message so that we can double check your email to see if we sent it to the correct one. Thanks!

    21. Matthieu Herblin on

Congratulations! I'm glad the game is finally out. :)
It doesn't seem like I have received the HB email though (checked the spam folder too).

    22. Pogopuschel on

Congratulations for releasing your game! I will try it out later and am really looking forward to it!

    23. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Dana! I'm sending you a Kickstarter message as well, but be sure to:
      1) If you're using gmail, check your "Promotions" or "Updates" tabs. I don't know why, but Humble emails started going to those tabs for me, and I've heard it's happened with other people as well.
      2) Search your email for "humble".
      3) Check your spam folder.

If that doesn't do it, let me know and we'll figure it out.

    24. Dana Laratta on

Hi there! I didn't seem to receive the Humble email with the key that was mentioned in the update. How do I proceed to get a key? Thanks and congratulations!

Just finished my first play through of the game, and I loved it. It has a very nice feel and there are so many "Ah ha!" moments.

Completed the game now. Short, clever and sweet without overstaying its welcome. I really had a great time, congrats!

Really looking forward to finally play the game. The reception has been great so far, congrats!

Congratulations LudoLand, you released a great game. It's surprisingly "chill" for a puzzle platformer (BTW that's high praise from me).

Hello! Im interested in a Xbox One key.

    33. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi James. Thank you! You can email LudoLandLogan[at]gmail[dot]com, but I just added you to the list, so you'll be receiving a PS4 key soon.

    34. James Guy on

Cheers for the update today. Really excited to give the game a go! How do I message you to request the PS4 key? I didn't see an email address.

I really appreciate you guys keeping connected with all your backers! I've had issues with a hardware project I backed on indiegogo, and have seen other projects that just go silent after oh so long, or so much money. I actually went through a disconnect a while back, and only now have signed back in to see that Four Sided Fantasy is in beta, and the other project I backed in Alpha, and I'm very excited to see that! Keep up the good work, Ludo Land LLC!

    36. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Kate! Thank you so much, that makes me really happy to hear!

While the beta build is a little older than the actual current build that we're working on, any bug reports would help greatly. Could you message this account with details on the bugs? The more details the better. Thanks again!

    37. Kate Molloy on

Hi guys! I wasn't sure where to put this, but I've been playing the beta version and love it! The music is lovely (and stuck in my head!), graphics are gorgeous, and I had loads of fun solving the puzzles! I'm really intrigued about the storyline, from the slightly ominous presence of the odd security camera. Congratulations on so much progress! I've had a few bugs with the gameplay (nothing catastrophic!), and wondered whether it would be helpful for us to report those back to you, or whether you have specific people for that? Again, huge congratulations, it's a lovely game, I can't wait to see it in its final form!

Hi Chris! We do have a lot to update Backers on, but right now we are dealing with some behind-the-scenes stuff, so we can't say too much right now. We'll have another update out soon, can't wait to show you all what we've been working on!

Any update on this? It's been almost three months since your non-update.

    40. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Alban, sorry to keep you in the dark! This time of year is FILLED with competitions and conferences - for example, we're submitting to two contests and showing at a conference this week alone! It seems like every time I sit down to start writing an update, I am reminded of a competition coming up. There is lots to talk about, though, and we will have an update soon! I can tell you that our estimated release date has changed, we will talk more about that in the next update.

    41. Alban Zekthi on

Any updates? The project was successfully funded a year ago, and the delivery date was set at February 2015. No updates since January 2015... I hope this isn't dead.

    42. Wikzo on

I pledged for the $70 reward where I get a personal character in the game. I was wondering what the status is for this? (no hurry, just curious) :)

    43. Wikzo on

      Very nice, thanks!

    44. Ludo Land Creator on

Hey Wikzo, I made a quick devlog post about the subject, so that I can show what it looks like in the engine:…

    45. Ludo Land Creator on

That sounds like a good idea, I should start going into how I'm doing certain things. Maybe on the development log on Tigsource.

Anyways, the "full" screen wrapping is pretty simple, you've got the right idea. The way I did it in The Fourth Wall and plan on doing it in FSF is simple: parent copies of the sprite (only the sprite, not the rigidbody or any other part) to the left and right a screen width's away from the main character, and to the top and bottom a screen height's away from the main character. The copies will only ever show up when you're on the edge of the screen (though this method will need to be tweaked for split screen). You don't ever have to worry about collisions of the copies, because they are parented to the main character.

    46. Wikzo on

Sounds great, although I would expect it to maybe be convoluted due to physics and how some of the puzzles are structured.

BTW, it would be awesome with some kind of developer behind-the-scenes blog posts describing how you are making some of this stuff. For instance, I once did a similar screen-wrapping mechanic in a game in Unity, and the only way I could manage to create the "full" screen-wrapping (with physics on both sides of the screen) was to create a duplicate of my character's mesh and rigid body. Not the smartest, though, so I am curious if you have any clever solutions to this :)

    47. Ludo Land Creator on

Hi Wikzo, thanks for the kind words. Glad you're enjoying it!

Yes, we are going to implement it so that if you stand on the edge, the character will show up on both sides of the screen. Fairly simple process, it's just a matter of when we get to it.

    48. Wikzo on

Just got around to playing the alpha. Holy cow, this game is amazing! It is just what I hoped it would be. Like Portal and Braid, it forces you to think in a way that you haven't tried before in a videogame. I love screen-wrapping! (a bit annoying that you can't save, but I know it's coming later ...)

Question: did you consider to do "full" screen-wrapping, meaning that when the character is standing on the edge of the screen, half of him will be shown on the left side and the other half on the right side? Right now, the character is moved to either of the sides when he reaches a screen edge. TowerFall has this mechanic where you can be "half-n-half" on both sides of the screen

    49. Caleb Klomparens on

Just read the update. Great stuff. Keep it coming!

PS, for the fall style, vertical could be done with tufts of grass at the edges, and dirt walls. I know that would mean redoing some art, but it worked for Minecraft! (and Braid, and New Mario Bros.)
