Here are Chord Cards! Probably one of the most convenient ways to learn the finger placements for musical instruments that include the Ukulele, Bass, Banjo and the Guitar. Partnered with a good ol' deck of playing cards.
It's as easy as:
- - Pick out the chord you want to learn (52 to choose from).
- - Slide it between the neck and the strings of your musical instrument.
- Line up the strings to the note notations on the card.
- Place your fingers.
- - Remove card, keeping fingers in place, and practice!
The idea for Chord cards came to me when I was practicing guitar notes and my 4 year old little brother would strum his Ukulele along with me (monkey see monkey do). But on the occasions when I tried to seriously teach him how to play a musical chord it was hard for him to understand, he had trouble with where to press the note down on the strings etc. Pretty soon he was bored and quickly distracted himself by sliding an old playing card between the neck and strings of his Ukulele... then that's when I got the idea. I took that card and drew strings on the face and used old stickers to indicate the note and finger indications. It worked! He understood exactly where to place his fingers and strum the note.
Inspired by this, I gathered what I had and designed a beginner deck of 52 cards for 52 musical notes, and now I'm here!
(I loved the idea so much I filed a patent!)
I'm here at kickstarter because I knew that with the help and input of like minded people, I could get these cards made for everyone to hopefully learn the notes of a musical instrument from and enjoy.

Kickstarter exclusive back!
The sun set back
If we reach the goal for the guitar version of Chord Cards, we will immediately begin producing musical decks for the Ukulele (1.75"x2.5") the art's done so it's ready to go! The funding of this project will help us to produce decks of Chord Cards for other musical instruments such as the Bass, Guitar, Banjo etc.
Remember, slide the card under the strings
and follow the finger placements!
Learning a note is so easy, a kid can do it!
Risks and challenges
The risks and challenges for us are fairly few since our musical artwork is complete and we are working with CustomizedPlayingCards.Com. BUT- we are interested in assembling the right assortment of chords for all musicians, no matter what the skill level.
