Power is in the Mind
Today we will talk about one of the last magic schools which joined the Lodge thanks to your efforts. The Mind school was founded by Circe the Sorceress, her best representative.
Circe created this school and shaped it in her own image and likeness, generating spells that induce men’s minds to be tricked, to surrender to the persuasive words of those who practice it.
In her millenarian life, Circe has subjugated many men’s minds, reducing them into slavery. Only the clash with Rebecca and her fellows, when she was a young apprentice, put an end to her misdeeds. Rebecca brought Circe to the Lodge’s Grand Magister, who understood the potential of Circe’s magical discipline and wisely decided to integrate it into the Lodge.
The Mind school will allow you to rule over anyone in the Lodge, making the enemy’s models move by controlling their will, stealing Power Points and cards from your opponents and evoking the revolting Circe’ servants: the Pigmen!
With spells like “Confusion”, for example, you can move a model for two rooms, wherever you want, or target a room and place all the models in it, in order to empty it and in both cases earn Power Points. This effect can also be used as a countermove to steal some killings from a Destruction mage! “Fatal Attraction” will, instead, gather in your room other models that will then attack each other for your enjoyment... and if you have Transmutation spells or your evocation in the same room ... well, let the fight begin!
With “Peace offer” a mage will move into your room to give you his/her cards or his/her Power Points... what you wouldn’t do for love! Combat spells also mirror the infamous soul of this school, “Cerebral Fever” and “Self-harm”, let mages inflict themselves a lot of damage or give up their power points to avoid being hurt.
Finally, we have the true Circe’s legacy: her monstrous servants can be summoned to help you in your ascent to the Lodge’s throne. “Circe’s legacy” and “Sacred Feminine” can be used to evoke a Pigman, you can make it act immediately or you can sacrifice it in a room full of mages, each of them will have to give you one of his Power Points.
The Pigmen are actually very useful evocations, being discreet fighters with the ability, given by their revolting appearance, to prevent the activation of the room they are placed in.
Mind school can be very well combined with the most aggressive schools. The ability to move your opponents’ models wherever you want, allow you to optimize many Combat spells, especially those that target rooms or have area effects! You will also be able to join this school with Illusion and Conspiracy cards, becoming the actual owner of the Lodge, controlling your opponent’s game.
Circe is ready to welcome you with open arms and teach you Mind powers... will you be able to resist her malice?
