A look into the void
In this update we will talk about one of the most disturbing of all schools, the Void school.
The mages belonging to Void have made pacts with sidereal entities that reside in space’s cold darkness… entities whose mere presence could drive one crazy and who have sinister purposes.
Void’s mages have been very often on the verge of being driven out of the Lodge as the other magisters believe this kind of magic too dangerous and unknown, but every time Void’s cultists (as they like to define themselves) demonstrate their ability to control their enormous powers and all accuses are silenced.
Void spells will allow you to move and control game.
You will also have more instabilities than all the other schools: i.e. you can surprise your opponents, damage, confuse them and make them attack by your Void evocations, namely the Dagons!
Most of Void spells are very dangerous and subtle Contingencies, giving you the chance to play with rooms’ instability, “Cloth of Inexistence” will allow you, for example, to not be targeted by an opponent’ spells until you use a new spell, or you can use it on another mage and, every time he casts a spell, you'll put your own instability in the room he/she is in; you can also use ”Power of the Void”, with which you can use your opponents’ instability to solve quests.
This school can also provide you many movement options, such as “Void Traveler”, which, until the end of the turn, will make you move in every room you want instead of making a normal move; you can, instead, be immune to physical attacks at the price of not being able to attack yourself.
Surely the characteristic that will drive you crazy about this school is its incredible Evocation: the Dagon. Dagon is not a great fighter, but whenever he attacks a model, you must place 1 instability in the room, and even when it is killed you must place as much instability as it has suffered. “Walker of the void”, “Echo of the Void” and “Sidereal Silence” are the three spell that will allow you to summon Dagon, but all three will also provide you with interesting effects that will be triggered by sacrificing it, which will make you gain power points, change instability and pick new quests.
Synergies with other schools are interesting, but you can mainly find a helpful join with the schools that are focused on evocations. A spell as “Breach”, allowing you to summon an evocation, unleash it against a mage in order to attack him/her, and interacts well with any other Summon.
Necromancy can, among all schools, use the magic of manipulating Void’s instability to create strong combos with those it already possesses.
The Void called for you ... will you answer its call?
As usual some pics...
Stay tuned and spread the words!
