Our non-stop journey through the Lodge continues, and after visiting the Red rooms we will directly go to new caves, trying to unlock their secrets.
Today our walk will lead us to the Purple rooms!
In the Armory fantastic armors and weapons, full of Protection spells, are preserved. The Mages create such items to donate them to important people around Europe (and beyond) in exchange for favors and protection… many Kings wear these stunning artifacts, and in their kingdoms, mages prosper undisturbed despite the suspicious eye of the Church.
During the War of the Roses, a mage who enters this room can recall powerful armor’s protection spells to use them in his favor. When a mage activates this room, he can immediately play a Protection spell directly from his hand.
You can place this spell face down, next to your mage's card, and it will count as a true extra protection spell ready to shoot. If you have built a deck with many Divination or Illusion cards, you will love this Room, since it allows you to increase your defenses even more or, in case, to defend yourself without wasting an available spell slot.
This is a room where mages use to go to find rest from their tormented thoughts. The welcoming environment, the relaxing thermal water pool and the pleasant company of the court ladies relax their muscles and their minds, recharging them in view of next challenges.
Furthermore, the court ladies working for the Lodge know many gossip and secrets and are always ready to reveal them to the most generous mages. Thanks to courtesans’ gossip, a mage who activates this room will be able to draw a new quest from the current moon deck. If you are setting up your quest resolution strategy, the Pleasure room will become your favorite room (yup!) ... but if you are using a lot of Conspiracy cards, you will want to keep an eye on the mages who have activated it frequently!
And here we have finally arrived at one of the most important Lodge’s rooms! The room where the new Grand Master will sit once the Black Rose War ends! You will need 10 Instability points to destroy this room, but its token will reward you with 5 Power Points! Who wins it will seriously build up his/her climbing to victory. In addition, a mage who will activate the room by sitting for a moment on the throne will be infused with the power of the Grand Master and will get the Crown of the first player!
This is an advantage not to be underestimated! Being the first player, as well as making you always be first in activations, will also allow your Evocations to be activated first during their phase!
