We were like you, you will be like us
Hi, Mages!
And here we are at a new appointment with the magic schools of BRW! Today, as many have asked, we will talk about the most disturbing schools ... Necromancy!
Do you want to inflict damages on your opponents? Do you want to weaken them and weaken their presence in the Lodge? But, above all, do you want to summon an unstoppable horde of undead at your command? Ok, you have just found your favorite school!

Although it cannot reach Destruction’s level of aggression, Necromancy has in his library fearsome offensive spells to be reckoned with. By using “Vampire’s Bite” you can inflict 2 wounds and heal two wounds, or gain 1 Power Point. “Ice Grip” will also allow you to damage your opponent mages, and, furthermore, to turn the wounds that have been inflicted by other mages into your own wounds, in order to have more chances to get his trophy when he is killed.

With “Cowardly” you can also turn the wounds inflicted by other Mages into your own ones. This mechanic, which is very relevant in this school, if used wisely will allow you to get many Trophies in a devious but effective way to the detriment of other schools like Destruction. Speaking of devious means to win victory, Necromancy offers really interesting spells: with “Evanescent Hope” you can literally steal power points from your opponents, while with “Traitor Mist” you will damage and delete a spell to all Mages in a room.

And then, obviously, there are them: the Undead! The real protagonists of this school! By casting “Summon Obscurity” you can summon an undead or immediately activate an Undead which is already in game, or make sure that all the wounds caused by your Undead will make you gain instant Power Points; with “Invoke Obscurity” the possibilities will increase even more: you can, in fact, destroy an undead and gain Power Points or turn an Undead into a lethal Superior Undead, the deadliest Evocation of the entire Core box!

Synergies with other schools are so many! You can increase your damages with Destruction that, combined with your tricks to change wounds on the enemy Mages, will guarantee you a large number of Trophies. Otherwise, you can hinder and suffocate your opponents by joining with Illusion or Conspiracy, putting you in a leading position, like real game’s Magister! Schools that are very focused on evocations, however, could get your deck too stuck and are therefore discouraged.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to unleash a death wave all through the Lodge rooms?
See you next update for another School and as usual a little (BIG) spoilers for your pleasure!

Stay tuned and spread the word!
