About this project
LIVV wireless headphones stay on your head, no matter how hard you play. They are lightweight, waterproof, and they sound amazing.
In 2008, Baltimore Ravens wide out Mark Clayton was running routine drills. An out route—he ran down the field and then cut a sharp 90 degree angle to the sideline, before he heard a SNAP! His headphones, which were home to the motivational soundtrack of his workout, had fallen off and been damaged by hard terrain. $300 headgear reduced to wires.

How does it work?
Traditional headbands simply go over the crown of the head. The more it needs to stay on your head, the greater the pressure it will have to exert on your ears... like an egg in a vise!
The Contorsional headband on the LIVV Headphone is the 1st of its kind. Its unique, patent-pending design disperses the right amount of pressure across three key areas on the head. This spreads across the total pressure effectively and evenly, ensuring a comfortably and extremely secure fit.
We believe this will change how people want their headphones to fit from now on.
Our goal is to build headphones that are light, comfortable, and very functional. LIVV will be your go-to earphone for doing anything from sitting and reading or studying to hanging upside down doing an intense set of abs or training full speed in any sport you can think of. Risks and challenges
LIVV is engineered by audio engineer maestro, Dale Lott (Aurisonics Inc.) and is built by IntriCon Corporation (NASDAQ: IIN), with its production facilities in USA and Singapore. IntriCon is a contract manufacturer for many of the world's leading audio companies.
The LIVV and Aurisonics teams began collaborating almost two years ago. As the design progressed, we worked closely with Aurisonics to ensure the product was designed for high quality, high volume production.
We are just about to begin our tooling for first samples of the mechanical design, which will be used to build 50 units for testing, including wearing tests by top athletes, as well as listening tests by music artistes and audio experts. For these units we designed and built the circuit boards and did final assembly in Nashville TN.
Our next step is to setup the tooling and production line. We plan to build 50 units for more testing. Once we are fully satisfied with our mechanical design, we will proceed to complete the programming of the board for the headphones.
We will then work with IntriCon to build out the final assembly line, install the test equipment, and do one more build before beginning production.
After several generations of prototypes and successive improvements, the latest generation has undergone extensive testing for over 12 months. We now need to complete the final iteration of the design, conduct extensive testing of the headphone, and move into production.
We plan to start production in March 2015 and begin delivering rewards to our supporters in April 2015. We will be keeping our backers updated on our progress through the various stages of our development and production process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Your warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase. If there are any Defects we will, based on approval:
Repair the product at no charge using new or refurbished parts
Exchange the product with a functional equivalent product that is new or refurbished
Refund the original purchase price

Whats Not Covered
LivvHeadphones does not cover normal wear and tear, blown speakers, cut cords, bent jacks, scratches, loss, or theft. We also exclude damages resulting from abuse, accident, modifications or other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship. Customization of your product voids your warranty.
We use the Bluetooth LE 4.1 Platform
This gives us maximum range to other bluetooth capable devices as well as endless possibilities in developing our interface and communications with other Bluetooth LE devices and platforms.
