WOW! This project became fully funded on January 8th - and it continues to grow. Thank you to those of you who backed this project, I am so excited to send off your screen prints and wallpapers once they're ready. Also, a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to share this project on social media and/or telling your friends & family about it.
To think that people from around the globe will have something I created on their walls is so amazing - do send pics!! :)
I often get emails asking about the Full Metal Jacket print I created in 2011 but I haven't managed to get around to creating screen prints... until now! With your backing I can make this all possible.
Full Metal Jacket is one of my favourite films, so naturally I had to create a minimal piece for this epic Stanley Kubrick film. The typographic design is based on the Marine Corps Rifleman's Creed.
"This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will...
My rifle and I know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy."
A3 Screen Prints
The prints will be A3 (11.69" X 16.54") in size and will be two colour on Natural white (280gsm) paper. The design has been altered slightly from the original version. I have fixed little things that ended up annoying me on the original and also changed the texture so it will print better as a two colour screen print.
There will be a maximum of 100 prints sold of this version. Prints will be numbered. Early birds will get prints 1-5.
Once the 25 days are up, if the project is successfully backed, I will place the order for the prints. After the printers have worked their magic and the posties have delivered the prints to me, I'll be packaging them all up and posting them off to the £19+ project backers. Whilst I wait for the printing process to end I will send out the digital wallpapers to everyone who backed £5 or more.

I've always wanted to sell screen prints but starting up can be rather costly especially when you don't know how many people would be genuinely interested in parting with their hard earned cash in return for a cool print. So, this project will start me off and all profits will go into creating more prints. The next one may possibly be 'Walther Propaganda'. Let me know what you think...
P.S. Hope I didn't offend anyone with the Maggot line... Blame it on Gny. Sgt. Hartman!
Risks and challenges
I aim to have the prints with me by late January so the biggest challenge will be packing the prints up and getting them posted to all the backers as soon as possible.
With that being said, I don't want to rush the printer as I want a top notch job - as I'm sure you do too!
The digital files (wallpapers) will be sent out soon after the project ends and the blog post with all the thank you's and details of this project will be created once all the prints have been sent out. I will gladly accept pictures of yourselves with the FMJ print :)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
