We designed Lively for the independent, lively person that you are. It tracks your daily activity at home that shows how you’re taking care. It enables you to be more mindful of your healthy habits. You'll feel safer knowing that loved ones can easily notice the first signs of any change in your typical routine. You'll also enjoy a tighter connection with family members by sharing the events of your day.
The idea of daily activity sharing may seem too much like monitoring, which doesn’t value your vibrant lifestyle. Lively is different because it lets you live your life on your own terms with a new level of social connectedness with your family and other loved ones.
learns your daily routine by using passive motion
sensors that are placed on objects in the home. There's nothing to wear and no video cameras watching. With a Lively hub that just plugs in, it receives updates from the sensors using secure, built-in
cellular technology. No Internet connection is required to use it. Lively's hardware includes:
Low-profile Design With the placement of sensors that stay out of the way of how you go about your day, Lively learns your daily routine and enables you to share it. It senses your activity through motion and smartly interprets the data to show when you visit the kitchen for meals, medication is taken, or you leave the house.
At-a-Glance Display Activity status and details are available through a private web login or a secure mobile application (iPhone support when Lively ships; Android support by Q3 2013). Color-coded icons show activities as normal or different from a typical routine. Only designated family and friends have access to this display.
Reminders When You Need Them When the system notices a change from the normal routine, it sends a friendly notification by phone or email to the user. Family members and friends can be chosen to receive notifications as well.
Creative Sharing with LivelyGram Invite family and friends to share photos, news, and updates that we turn into a personalized mailer, called LivelyGram. Ideal for older adults who don’t want to use a computer to stay connected.
Personalized Circle Once a circle of family and friends are invited to contribute
to an elder loved one’s personalized LivelyGram, we automatically compile the
content and send it by postal mail approximately every two weeks.
Content Uploads It’s easy to upload any picture saved on the computer or photos directly from a Facebook, Instagram or Flickr account, and more. Or, write short messages and sweet hellos from any computer, tablet or smartphone (iPhone support when Lively ships; Android support by Q3 2013).
Our Vision & Inspiration
is the result of extensive research, interviews and insights gained from older
adults and their extended families. We understand that technology doesn't make
us feel closer; knowing more about each other's lives does.

We Tested Lively with Real Users
Lively has tested its product (pre-production units) with
about 30 households of older adults (age 75+) in Sarasota, Florida and their
families. We’ve also surveyed hundreds of prospective customers to learn about
their needs and preferences.
Our World-Class Manufacturing Partner
also been chosen by PCH International for its Accelerator program, which
assists innovative startups to shorten their time-to-market process by
benefiting from the same end-to-end integrated supply chain solutions and manufacturing
resources used by the world's leading brands to gain a competitive edge.
We Need Your Help!
It’s now time we rallied the support of those who care deeply about the value of our connections in order to bring Lively to market. With your advance orders and online donations, we’ll prove demand for the product and more precisely forecast our initial manufacturing run.

Plus, Lively is an Open Platform
Lively has been designed as
an open platform, which means it’s possible to integrate the technology for an
even wider range of possibilities. The basic components of the system include:
Accelerometer: all of the passive sensors included with
Lively (except its key fob) include an accelerometer, which is calibrated to
detect when the sensor is being moved.
Low Energy antennae: transmits activity information
between all sensors (up to about 300 yards) securely to the Lively hub. Secure
protocol ensures sensor activity is only shared with your hub.
Receiver: all data is then transmitted from the
Lively hub to our cloud-based server system in order to display the activity
for online as well as trigger notifications.
