WAIT! Don't go yet! There's more! Now that we've made our goal it's time to streeeeeetch it.
Let's go for the French macaron line, with enough additional funding I'll be able to afford the expensive packaging and ingredients needed to make my award winning macarons.
I've added two reward options to help reach my stretch goal of $9,000.
The first is for current backers - you have the option to add $20 to any reward level to receive half a dozen macarons in addition to your cookie package.
The second is a brand new reward for $40 to receive 1 dozen assorted French macarons. Potential flavors are chocolate hazelnut, mint chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, and salted caramel.
Who doesn't like Cookies?
I've dreamed about the perfect cookie. Chocolate chips that melt on each bite. Chewy, but still just a little crunchy. Fresh out of the oven, with that home baked taste. Sugary enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, but with a touch of salt to balance it out. I've searched high and low for this perfect cookie, and while some have come close, I decided the only way to make this dream come true is to create them myself. And now, I'd like to share them with you!
Has it been a difficult week? Is your anniversary coming up? How about a special birthday? Love the taste of home baked cookies but don't bake yourself? That's where I come in. I'm here to satisfy all your needs and more. My cookies have that home baked taste but the quality you expect from a bakery, all made with exceptional ingredients.
With your help, I can launch my online bake shop and deliver bakery quality cookies with a home baked taste right to your front door.

I have spent months perfecting the perfect chocolate chip cookie. When I'm craving a cookie, this is the one I want first and I guarantee you will love it. My Signature Chocolate Chip Cookie is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, with specks of vanilla throughout, big chunks of chocolate in every bite, and finished with my homemade vanilla sea salt.
I will also be offering my Triple Choc-o-lot Cookie - a brownie in cookie form. This cookie is made with rich dark chocolate, deep red cocoa powder and chocolate chips to get that melty bite. They are also topped with vanilla salt to balance the richness. You may want a tall glass of cold milk with this one. This cookie is for everyone, but especially the serious chocoholics.
Peanut Butter and Jelly on bread is a thing of the past; satisfy your need for a PB&J with my PB&J Cookies. Two soft peanut butter cookies are sandwiched around all-natural strawberry preserves. This cookie is a meal in itself!
These three cookies will always be for sale in the bake shop. However, if you are looking to try something seasonal or experimental, join my cookie of the month club. One dozen surprise cookies will be mailed to you each month. It could be a new recipe in the works to join the regular menu, or a seasonal item available for a limited time. Only you as a member of the cookie of the month club would have the opportunity to try these cookies first!
Do you like to bake on occasion yourself? Then I suggest giving my homemade Vanilla Sea Salt a go. Top it on brownies, blondies, shortbread cookies or even rim a margarita glass with it. This salt will leave everyone guessing; why is this sooooo good?
And for the pooches - I have a healthy dog cookie just for you! How does a peanut butter and banana dog cookie made with whole oats and wheat flour sound? It's the perfect special occasion treat for the furry friend in your life. Sir Pugsley approved!
Why I need your help:
The big picture: As much as I would love to bake out of my actual little red kitchen, there are too many regulations from the city when it comes to home processing. Not only is it a safer, cleaner environment but it's also more practical to rent a commercial kitchen, where there will be bigger and better facilities, with the ability to scale up. That costs money, and with your help and support, a good part of this funding will be directed to the first six months of rent to "kickstart" my new business.
The remaining funds are for ingredients, packing supplies, and other incidental expenses. I have already spent a significant amount of my own savings on initial business expenses, and I need your help to get across the finish line.
It is my personal commitment to bring you the best possible product, which is why I'm choosing to bake these cookies using organic ingredients and free trade chocolate. The cost of these goods are higher but the taste makes all the difference. Plus you can feel better about indulging in that sweet treat when you know that there are no chemicals, preservatives, or artificial ingredients. Also, each order will be vacuum sealed with 2 cookies per package, so you can enjoy two for now and keep the rest fresh for later.
Who is The Girl In The Little Red Kitchen?
I'm a blogger, a baker, a recipe creator, and a cookie lover. I believe that we can all indulge in a sweet treat as long as it's made with exceptional ingredients.
I've always loved to get in the kitchen beside my mom when it came time to do a little baking but got serious about three years ago.
I entered the Brooklyn Cookie Takedown on a whim in 2011 and took home the First Place People's Choice Award with my Duck Fat Caramel Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies. A repeat win came in 2012 with First Place in both the judges and peoples categories for my French Macarons. Winning these competitions made me realize that maybe I could do more than just bake for myself and my close friends.
After several years of developing my brand through my popular food blog, I've decided to share my baking talents with all of you though my Online Bake Shop. I'll be baking and shipping fresh and preservative free cookies with organic and fair trade ingredients right to your front door.

Risks and challenges
I will be running the bake shop by myself with only assistance from my husband Braden. Since I will still be working a full time job, orders will only be shipped out once a week, and as demand rises, it could become overwhelming as I will need to add extra shifts. There is also the possibility of a delayed shipment due to weather conditions; but after test shipments this winter, the cookies stayed fresh after arriving a week late. I am prepared to tackle these challenges - I have a strong business plan and timeline, and once I start baking in the commercial kitchen (with your help), I am confident that I will be successful!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
