First of all, sincerest thanks to all our backers and supporters who have helped us spread the word and spring us off the starting blocks! We're really touched by the support and kind wishes from everyone we've talked to! One day in, and we thought it was a good idea to tell everyone about some of the subtexts to our project...

You may have noticed that we launched this project at 11.11 am on Monday January 7th, and it will close on 11.11 am on Monday February 4th. Why all the 1s? You may ask.

Well, admittedly there is all sorts of weird cosmic stuff to do with 11.11 - but that's not really the reason why we've used it. It's simply because the numbers resemble the bars of a cell, and also a gateway or portal. Entering into - or out of - a prison is a process of moving through portals, and waiting in spaces between locked and unlocked doorways. It has a very peculiar and particular psychological effect.

11.11 also resembles the classic method of marking time on a cell wall, when you don't have a clock - counting down the days. Which is exactly what we're doing - although 28 days of a Kickstarter campaign is hardly the same as spending time in a cell.

There's lots more to tell you about the prison symbols and subtexts we've identified and used in our project, so stay tuned for our future updates and share with anyone you think might be interested. Until then, thanks again for your support - it means so much.
