Little Literary Classics is a series of hardcover books that teach your children the basic plots of famous works of literature. The first book in the series is Pride and Prejudice.
It's an adorable, child friendly adaptation of the book that will become a reading-time favorite!
The book is 8.5 by 8.5 inches, with a glossy hardcover and matte interior paper. It's 25 pages, so the story is appropriate for fairly young children. As they grow, your kids will become familiar with the story and will hopefully begin to read it themselves!
The funding goal is $1000, which will help cover the costs in making the book and go towards a print run so I can have stock on hand. I am using Lightning Source as the printer for this series. They are a well respected company in the industry and make high quality children's books.
Why teach your children about classic literature at such a young age? For one, it's fun! More importantly, classic literature is something they will be learning about in school as they grow older, and an early introduction to the stories will help foster a life-long love of these important works of art.
The rewards include copies of the hardcover book, a digital download of the book, and some activity pages for you print out and color. Some reward levels include a 5 by 7 unframed print or a t shirt!
We also have a STRETCH GOAL - if funding reaches $2000, I will also publish a hardcover copy of Jane Eyre and will add it to the hardcover book options in the rewards!
I could not be more excited to be making these books and getting them into the hands of children and literature-lovers alike. I have many more books planned for the future, so there are years of reading enjoyment for you ahead!
Risks and challenges
The risks on this project are minimal, because the book is already done! I am putting the finishing touches on Jane Eyre in case we hit our stretch goal, and will have that done before the project ends.
The only potential problem is that if the project goes REALLY big, I might have to switch printing styles to accommodate a gigantic print run (only if we get into the thousands of copies). This could take longer but would still happen. You WILL receive this book if the project funds.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
