Thank you so much for stopping by to check out Little Elm the Comic Book's first Kickstarter campaign!
If you've made it this far, you may be asking yourself questions like, "What is Little Elm?" and perhaps more importantly, "where is Little Elm?"
You are not alone.
You see, Little Elm is everywhere. Small, forgotten towns like Little Elm exist all around the world. But what makes Little Elm special is the occasional flare up of science fiction and/or supernatural insanity that forces the normal citizens of Little Elm to act as heroes to save their run-of-the-mill town. But more on that in just a bit...
Before we proceed any further, we think it's important to know that Little Elm is directed towards a mature audience and there is plenty of good, imaginative fun to be had in our stories.
But we need your help. We cannot do this alone. In order to bring Little Elm to life, we've created this campaign to raise funds for the printing costs associated with Issue #1 and the artist costs for Issue #2 in addition to its printing costs.

Future Tech Story Arc (Issues 1-5):
This is the first ever story arc of Little Elm the Comic. It focuses on our heroes battling for their lives against the nefarious technology corporation, Future Tech. You see, Future Tech may or may not be extraterrestrial in origin but one thing is abundantly clear: They have insidious plans for total human annihilation -- Little Elm is merely the beginning.
Through the Future Tech story arc we will meet our main characters, Drew Murphy and Bryan Scruggs. Drew and Bryan are lifelong friends -- they grew up together in Little Elm.
For Drew Murphy, working at the old local cinema, Red Eye Theater, is about as good as it gets. Free popcorn by the handful, smoke breaks whenever he pleases, and he even gets to see all the new movies for free. And they say you can't get benefits working minimum wage...
Meanwhile for Bryan Scruggs, life is at a crossroads. You see, Bryan used to work at Red Eye Theater with Drew, but at the beginning of our story, he's just started as a substitute teacher for Little Elm High School. Having recently adopted a more responsible lifestyle, Bryan's just graduated from Right-Click University. Though, we must admit... Right-Click is probably a sham and the town considers the school a joke, but for Bryan, who cares? A degree's a degree.
We are taking Little Elm the Comic one step at a time, which is why we are only focusing on raising funds for the printing of Issues #1 and #2, as well as some additional artist costs for Issue #2.
We truly believe in Little Elm and we hope you will too.
The physical comic is standard sized (6.625” x 10.25”) on 70lb paper with gloss covers and 55lb gloss inner pages, on high quality paper. There will be 1 printing for the standard covers. The issues will be posted with a bag and board, and in a card backed flat envelope to ensure that you get your comic through the post in the best way possible. If you don't want the physical comic, one of the rewards will be a PDF rocking the Standard cover.
A Few Residents:
Little Elm follows a group of young, lackluster adults as they are confronted with the survival of their hometown. Sure, the characters have no reservations when it comes to experimenting with a drug or two or three or....
Sorry. We got a little off track there.
The point is... these stories are intended to be fun and exciting with tons of pop culture influences and references. Little Elm is an entertaining read for just about anyone who has a sense of humor.
Now let's meet a few of the Little Elm residents that we will see throughout the series and preview some amazing artwork by Norbert Yates!

Little Elm the Comic was created by Michael Goldermann and David Ryan, a relentless creative team striving to build an ever expanding universe of unique stories and characters to share with the world.
So what is the genesis of Little Elm?
Michael and David met over five years ago while attending film school. So it comes as no surprise that Little Elm the Comic was initially written as a feature-length screenplay. Everything contained within Little Elm the Comic has been developed via Michael and David's collaborative efforts in the independent film industry.
Being that Michael and David share a mutual passion for comics, coupled with the fact that the storytelling goals for Little Elm are so ambitious, they decided that a comic book would be the perfect medium to introduce their story and characters to the rest of the world.
In 2018, Michael and David partnered with artist, Norbert Yates, who instantly connected with their creative vision to build the first comic book presented by THG Universe.
In every issue you will get a "How to with Bry and Drew"! Let Bry and Drew walk you through some fun recipes from THC infused butter to the Liquid Mary Jane. Our artist, Norbert Yates, used the original 64 color pallet to bring in a vintage Archie look.
This is an all-or-nothing campaign and we hope to push past our goal in order to get our stories out in a faster manner.
$7,500 - We will be able to complete all artwork and digital renderings up to issue number 3.
$8,500 - This will allow us to have Issues 1, 2, and 3 completed and printed!
$9,500 - We would love to reach $9,500 as it will allow us to have up to issue 4 completed.
$11,000 - This amount will help us get issues 1, 2, 3, 4 printed.
$13,000 - Completion of the Future Tech Story Arc is found at this mark! The story and paneling has already been completed but due to a lack of funds we are unable to get there at this moment. If we can achieve this stretch goal....well, that would be awesome.
$14,500 - This is the number we need to hit in order to have Issues 1 through 5 completed and printed in physical form.
$20,000 - This may sound like a big reach but we would love to hit $20,000 as it will allow us print the first 5 issues, which will complete the story of our Little Elm Residents battling the villainous tech company. We will have all issues printed individually as well as printing Little Elm Volume 1: Future Tech consisting of all the original issues as well as tons of other fun short stories, recipes, and games.
$22,000 - This pushes us onto the next story arc in Little Elm, which tells the story of the most powerful vampire tribe to ever walk the earth, which is, of course, as you may have guessed, being resurrected in Little Elm.
With $22,000 of funding we will complete the following:
Little Elm 1 (Digital and Print)
Little Elm 2 (Digital and Print)
Little Elm 3 (Digital and Print)
Little Elm 4 (Digital and Print)
Little Elm 5 (Digital and Print)
Little Elm Graphic Novel Volume 1 (Digital and Print of Issues 1 through 5 plus bonus material)
Little Elm 6 (Digital and Print)
Thank you for your time, but please act fast. The fates of the people of Little Elm depend on you!
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk associated with Little Elm the Comic is the timeline we have with our artists and their respective rates. To combat the difficult turn-around schedule necessary to complete Little Elm's first story arch by October 2019, we have added a few more artists that can assist in bringing our first tale to life.
Issue #1 is currently ready for print and Issue #2 has been paneled out so we are already ahead of the game!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
