About this project
Say hello to Anatomic Anna and Andy!
Cool new 18" STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) dolls, with removable organs, for 4-12 year olds. They encourage children to learn about the human body through play. Complete with outfits and accessories, they appear to be regular dolls, but once undressed, their torsos open to expose the body’s internal organs.
Children can now explore and discover the working parts of the human body through play. They also offer an opportunity for children to extend their vocabulary as they learn organ names, where they sit inside the body and gain a deeper understanding of their functions.
Most importantly, they spark an interest and create curiosity about children's own bodies. Knowledge and understanding about their own bodies is empowering for children and increases confidence!
I don't know about your children, but mine love to play with packaging! Therefore, we have created fun and interactive packaging including; a fun facts generator, a cut out 'How Organs fit into your body' poster and a 'Main Organs of the Human Body' wall hanging!
Enclosed in each box is a leaflet with easy to follow instructions, a small poster and description of basic functions in 7 languages; English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Arabic and Chinese. Also, a handy drawstring bag to store the organs when not in use.
By having both boy AND girl dolls, we solve two problems currently in the toy market - inclusion and diversity! There are very limited options for cool boy dolls on the one hand and on the other, very few STEM toys geared towards girls. Anatomic Anna and Andy are unique, purposeful and FUN!
We've had some raving reviews:

About the company:
I am a mother of four who, for the last 6 years, has home educated my children. As a homeschooling mum, I am always on the lookout for fun and educational toys.
After a dissection workshop with our home-ed group, which the kids absolutely loved, we decided to continue our learning and do a project about the human body. However, when I searched for fun learning resources, all I could find were anatomical models, the same kind used by medical students - very clinical and boring! Nothing fun and playful.
The idea for an anatomical doll was born!
By incorporating the removable organs into a doll, children would be able to learn all about the human body through play!
After a number of suggested names, my 7 year old son picked Anatomic Andy because he said it made him sound like a Superhero!
I founded the company, Little Boffins - Learn Through Play, because I wanted to create fun, educational children’s toys that encourage learning through play!
In order for us to go into production, we need your support!
We have to meet a minimum order quantity for our manufacturer to be able to produce our dolls at a reasonable price. Your donations will go directly to help us raise money to place our first order! We are offering them at amazing prices, exclusively on Kickstarter, to help us get off the ground.
