No gluten, no eggs, no almonds, no meat - these are the things I am up against when trying to feed my best friend forever: Lisa Predko! When you are a blessed, healthy, and curious eater like myself (with legit no restrictions) it can be hard not to take pity on those that must do without. An even larger challenge to the chef of those with complicated dietary needs is to create and share a meal that you can BOTH enjoy. Not fake, lesser, versions of the real thing, no separate meals eaten while eyeing the other, better meal - but real food. LISA FOOD!
Having an ingrained (see: Italian) need to feed the masses and spoil my friends, I have been experimenting with and tweaking these recipes for years. When I first started to cook for Lisa, it was in the early stages of our friendship - we were different people then and I REALLY didn’t know how to make real food, let alone delicious home made meals! But I wanted to try and as the time has passed and our friendship has grown, so have these recipes. In my quest to feed my Predko I have hacked / deviated / frankensteined multiple dishes to make gluten free meals that are not just acceptable, but palatable, for my best friend. Over the years Lisa has encouraged me by not only providing the wine, but being a vocal and voracious eater. We both had way too much fun making this body of work, and are very proud to share it with EVERYONE!
Lisa Food features 10 custom, gluten free vegetarian* recipes created and tested by Andrea Donadio for Lisa Predko, and includes over 20 gorgeous photos we made just for the book! All of the recipes are one pot meals, with no more than 20-30 min prep for each dish (depending on how much wine you're drinking!), and can all be easily frozen and saved for a later date!
We are working with an AMAZING printer to make sure the color & content of each photo is beautifully reproduced and "Predko Perfect". Lisa Food will measure 7.5” x 10” and have some fun finishing touches that will take this book out of the kitchen and onto your coffee table. :) :)

Lisa and I have been working for the last 8 months to create a fun and colorful Gluten Free cookbook to share with anyone and everyone. Lisa Food features recipes I personally developed for Lisa and her gluten free diet, meant to be enjoyed by those who have dietary restrictions as well as those who don’t! We loved creating the photographs that illustrate these tasty dishes and can’t wait to make it into a beautiful book to share with you!
Lisa and I are self-publishing this book and hope you will buy one / contribute to this project to help cover the cost of printing and shipping. Which, by the way, isn’t cheap!!! Risks and challenges
No risk! Project is mostly done - our only challenge is that we need to raise enough money to print the dang thing!! If we raise more than our goal, we will put it towards making more books - and hopefully to help us start production on Lisa Food vol ii !Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
