Hey jerks! I wrote an album of punk rock songs all about my actual family members. "Punk Mom" is about my mom and all her hobbies. "Punk Brother Channo" is all about my brother, Chandler, and the vast array of things he thinks about. Punk rock perfectly mirrors how I feel about my family: I love them aggressively but when my brothers and I fly home for the holidays, we only get along for one or two days before we start beating each other up.
I'm doing a Kickstarter because I want to make the Punk Family release blow up. Releasing an album takes a butt-load of care, and I care about Punk Family more than I care about my real family. Here's where you come in. With your help, I'll be able to make two music videos and release the album as a box of cereal.
CDs are dead and vinyl is fun but you have to have a record player to enjoy them. Everyone's got a bowl and a spoon! Why not have something to snack on while you headbang to these hits?! Here's the concept design for Punk Breakfast:
On the outside, Punk Breakfast has games, Punk Family trivia, and all sorts of fun details to keep your eyes entertained while your mouth and ears are busy. On the inside, this bitchin' box will be stuffed with cocoa krispies and will include a download code so you can listen to Punk Family in your favorite audio format (even 48khz/32-bit FLAC, you big nerd!).
Music videos go a long way in promoting a record. I've already got an incredible video for "Punk Brother Channo" and two more videos in the works.
The video for "Punk Mom" will be a Victorian Era classical ensemble rehearsal. As harpist, violinist, pianist, and guitarist perform their hearts out, their inner-punk spirits erupt with fury. We're set to film this in November and will be using this Kickstarter's funds to rent genuine costumes. Directed by Jared Clark Gay.
The video for "Punk Sister" will be a psychedelic VHS journey through my religious roots through the eyes of director Gregory Willis Barnes. The money from this Kickstarter will pay for original animations used between VHS clips.
Here's a breakdown of how the Punk Kickstarter will get divvied up:
A lot of Kickstarters happen before bands even start on their records, but guess what? I'm not one of those idiots! Punk Family is finished. I wrote it, recorded it, got my buddy Tom to play drums on it, mixed it, and had it mastered by the legendary badass Cliff Maag. This album honks! It's fast, it's loud, it's fun and I can't wait for you to hear it. Check out the first single "Punk Brother Channo":

Even better, I've already finished a music video for "Punk Brother Channo" and, trust me, this vid's gonna get your heart pounding. Eat this!
Check out the rewards for being a part of Punk Family before it comes out. As you can see above, every dollar you pledge will go straight into creating more of the Punk Family experience. You'll get to enjoy the cereal, watch the videos, and bask in the hot knowledge that you are a patron of the Punk Arts.

I'm going to be honest with you: I'm making Punk Breakfast with or without you. The only difference is whether you get to eat any or not.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
