Exploring the technology of x-rays through creative works of art at the Linda Matney Gallery.
X-RA*DI*ANCE is a proposed exhibition hosted by the Linda Matney Gallery in Williamsburg, VA. Since x-rays are invisible to the human eye, the exhibit probes ways in which x-rays can be made visible by questioning what the technology reveals and erases through creative manipulations. X-RA*DI*ANCE includes three artists: Jeff Behary, the Director of the Electrotherapy Museum in West Palm Beach, FL; Diane Covert, the Creator of the X-Ray Project: Inside Terrorism; and Nick Veasey, a world famous British radiographer. All of them have been recognized nationally for their work. Please watch our video for information on the artists and their work or visit their websites:
Rewards, in the form of prints, are featured below and in greater detail in our video. We have reprinted these images from rare vintage x-ray negatives, digitally colorized and enhanced them into high-quality prints, made exclusively for donors to this Campaign. Jeff Behary has graciously offered a limited edition 16x20 print of his "Sparks" to the highest-level donors.
Funds from this Kickstarter Campaign will cover exhibition rental fees, the transportation of the pieces long-distance, and promotional materials.
With your generosity, X-RA*DI*ANCE will open in Winter 2013 and will be the first exhibit of its kind in the Williamsburg area.
